Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավորությամբ արաբական դաշինքն ապրիլի 9-ին 40 օդային հարվածներ է հասցրել Եմենի տարբեր շրջաններին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է  «Ալ Ջազիրա» հեռուստաալիքը, ռմբակոծվել են բանակի ռազմաբազաները, մայրաքաղաք Սանայում Պաշտպանության նախարարության շենքը: Ռմբակոծության հետևանքով ոչնչացվել են մի քանի զինապահեստներ:

Օդային հարվածները հիմնականում ուղղվում են Ադեն քաղաքի ուղղությամբ, որտեղ շարունակվում են բախումները բանակի ստորաբաժանումների, շիաների և Աբդ Ռաբբո Մանսուր ալ Հադիի կողմնակիցների միջև:

Բանակը շիաների հետ միասին հսկողություն է հաստատել Աթակ քաղաքի վրա, որը Շաբուա մարզի կենտրոնն է:

Պակիստանի խորհրդարանը մերժել է մասնակցել Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավորությամբ «Վճռականության փոթորիկ» գործողություններին: Պակիստանի վարչապետ Նուազ Շարիֆը նշել է, որ իր երկիրը կկանգնի Սաուդյան Արաբիայի կողքին նրա հանդեպ ցանկացած սպառնալիքի դեպքում:

Հնդկաստանը փակում է իր դեսպանատունը Եմենում՝ անվտանգության նկատառումներից ելնելով: Այս մասին հայտարարել է Հնդկաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունը՝ տեղեկացնելով, որ աշխատանքներ են տարվում իրենց քաղաքացիներին երկրից հանելու ուղղությամբ:

Եմենի ռազմական գործողությունները շարունակվում են մոտ երեք շաբաթ: Համաշխարհային առողջապահության կազմակերպության տվյալներով, Եմենում մարտի 19-ից ի վեր զոհվել է ավելի քան 640, վիրավորվել՝ 2220 մարդ: 335 հազար եմենցիների ստիպված լքել են իրանց տները:

«Վճռականության փոթորիկ» գործողությունները Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավորությամբ սկսվել են մարտի 26-ի գիշերից: Սաուդյան Արաբիային աջակցում են Բահրեյնը, Կատարը, Քուվեյթը և ԱՄԷ-ն: Արաբական դաշինքի ուժերի ղեկավար Ահմադ Ասիրին հայտարարել է, որ ռազմական գործողությունները կշարունակվեն մինչև Աբդ Ռաբբո Մանսուր ալ Հադիի իշխանության վերականգնումը:
