Իրանի դեմ տարիներ շարունակ կիրառված պատժամիջոցների վերացումը դրական ազդակ կլինի Հայաստանի տնտեսության համար: Այս կարծիքին են հայաստանյան փորձագետները, ովքեր վստահ են, որ տարածաշրջանում հենց Հայաստանն է Իրանի բարեկամ պետությունը:

Լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ  ԵՊՀ իրանագիտության ամբիոնի վարիչ, իրանագետ Վարդան Ոսկանյանը նշեց, որ պատժամիջոցների վերացումից հետո Հայաստանն ու Իրանը կկարողանան ավելի առարկայական քայլեր կատարել երկաթգծի կառուցման հարցում:«Եթե երկաթուղու կառուցումն իրականություն դառնա, Հայաստանն Իրանի տարածքով ելք կունենա  դեպի Բանդերաբաս նավահանգիստ, այսինքն Կասպից ծոց: Այդ նավահանգիստը կարևոր հանգույց է, թեև ներկայում դժվար է ասել՝ դա Հայաստանի համար կունենա նույն նշանակությունը, ինչ Փոթիի նավահանգսիտը: Սակայն պետք է հաշվի առնել, որ Իրանը ունի բազմաճյուղ երկաթգծային ցանց և ելքեր` աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներ»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` ասաց նա:

Ոսկանյանը հույս հայտնեց, որ Իրանի և «վեցյակի» միջև պայմանագիրը կկնքվի և պատժամ իջոցները լիովին կհանվեն:Իրանագետ Գոհար Իսկանդարյանն էլ այն կարծիքին է, որ Իրանի դեմ պատժամիջոցների վերացումից հետո առաջին ծրագիրը, որ կիրականացվի, Մեղրիի ՀԷԿ-ի կառուցումն է: «Այդ էլեկտրակայանի կառուցումն արդեն երկար տարիներ է` ավարտին չի հասցվում: Իսկ երկաթգծի կառուցումն ավելի լուրջ ներդրումներ է ենթադրում Հայաստանի կողմից, որովհետև եթե իրանական կողմը պետք է կառուցի միայն 60 կմ գիծ, հայկական կողմը ստիպված է կառուցելու 200 կմ: Դրա համար մեծ ֆինանսավորում է պետք և, իհարկե, ժամանակ»,- ասաց Իսկանդարյանը:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ Հայաստանի շահերից է բխում իրանակ ան պատժամիջոցների վերացումը, քանի որ այդ պետութունը լուրջ դերակատար է տարածաշրջանում:Գլոբալիզացիայի և տարածաշրջանային հետազոտությունների կենտրոնի ղեկավար Ստեփան Գրիգորյանը կարծիք հայտնեց, որ Իրանը ցանկանում է, որ Հայաստանն ուժեղանա, որպեսզի դաշնակից ունենա Ադրբեջան-Թուրքիա ալյանսի դեմ:

«Իրանին ձեռնտու է ունենալ բարեկամ տարածաշրջանում, իսկ Հայաստանի շահերից բխում է համագործակցել Իրանի հետ: Ցանկացած հարցում մենք պետք է ունենաք այլընտրանք, օրինակ Հայաստան-Իրան գազամուղը այլընտրանք է, ինչպես նաև ծրագրվող երկաթգիծը»,- ասաց նա:

2013 թվականի սեպտեմբերին ՉԺՀ-ի ղեկավարությունը Բիշքեկում հնչեցրել է Մետաքսի մեծ ճանապարհի համատեղ տնտեսական գոտու ստեղծման նախաձեռնությունը, որը նախկինում Արեւելքի ու Արեւմուտքի երկրներին կապում էր Կենտրոնական Ասիայի տարածաշրջանի միջոցով: Խոսքը վերաբերում է Արեւելքից Արեւմուտք արտոնյալ պայմաններով ապրանքների ուղղակի մատակարարումների համար առեւտրական փոխադրամիջանցք ստեղծելուն:
