Բելառուսի նախագահ Ալեքսանդր Լուկաշենկոն հայտարարել Է, թե անհրաժեշտ Է, որ Եվրամիությունը որոշի Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության հետ համագործակցության մի քանի գերակա ուղղությունները:

«Եթե Եվրոպայում որեւԷ մեկը կարծում Է, թե այդ միավորումը (ԵԱՏՄ-ն) կարելի Է չնկատել, ապա դա ճիշտ չԷ: Կարծում եմ՝ Եվրամիությանն անհրաժեշտ Է որոշել ԵԱՏՄ-ի հետ համագործակցության մի քանի գերակա ուղղությունները»,- հայտարարել Է Լուկաշենկոն հարեւանության եվրոպական քաղաքականության եւ ԵՄ-ի ընդլայնման հարցերով կոմիսար Յոհանես Հանի հետ ապրիլի 17-ին Մինսկում կայացած հանդիպմանը:

Ըստ ՌԻԱ Նովոստիի՝ Լուկաշենկոն ուշադրություն Է դարձրել այն բանի վրա, որ այդ միավորման նկատմամբ այսօր հետաքրքրություն են ցուցաբերում աշխարհի շատ երկրներ, հատկապես ասիական: Նա հավելել Է, որ Եվրամիությունը պետք Է իմանա ԵԱՏՄ-ի զարգացման հիմնական միտումների մասին եւ, հնարավոր Է, «արդեն հարաբերություններ հաստատի այդ գլոբալ շուկայի հետ եւ իրականացնի մեր կողմից առաջարկված Լիսաբոնից մինչեւ Վլադիվոստոկ համագործակցության նախաձեռնությունը»:
