Գոռ Սաղաթելյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է. 

Սուտ է, որ Թուրքիան ինչ որ հզոր դիվանագիտություն ու դիվանագիտական ավանդույթներ ունի։ Հատկապես վերջին տարիներին Թուրքիան հետևողականորեն տարել է կոշտ ու կոպիտ, սայթաքող ու իր համար անշահավետ դիվանագիտական գիծ ու հիմա էլ անում է նույնը։

Եվ հարցն այս անգամ ոչ թե Ցեղասպանության ճանումն է, ոչ էլ հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների բարելավմանը խոչընդոտելը։ Զգացե՞լ եք, թե ինչ աննախադեպ չոր է Աշխարհը վերաբերվում Թուրքիային հենց այս տարի։ Հատկապես ԵՄ-ի անդամ երկրներն ու ԱՄՆ-ը։

Ի՞նչ եք կարծում, ինչի հետևանք է դա։ Շտապեմ հիասթափեցնել. Ցեղասպանության 100-ամյակը եթե կապ էլ ունի սրա հետ, ապա միայն երկրորդական ու այս հարցը ավելի շուտ պատրվակ է Արևմուտքի համար, քան պատճառ՝ Թուրքիային «պատժելու» համար։

Իմ կարծիքով, այս սառնությունը Արևմուտք-Թուրքիա հարաբերություններում հետևանք են ոչ թե Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարյուրերորդ տարելիցի, այլ թուրք-ռուսական մերձեցման պրոցեսսների ու Թուրքիայի տարածքով դեպի Եվրոպա գնացող գազատարի կառուցման մասին համաձայնագրի։ Այլ կերպ ասած, Արևմուտքը պատժում է Թուրքիային՝ ռուսների հետ մերձանալու համար ու դրա համար օգտվում է այդ թվում նաև հայկական հարցից, որպես ամենամեծ դագանակներից մեկը, որը կա իր տիրապետության տակ:

Եթե վերադառնանք թուրքական դիվանագիտությանը, ապա մեծ վստահությամբ կարելի է ասել, որ եթե թուրքերը հեռատես լինեին, կփորձեին հնարավորինս հետաձգել Ռուսաստանի հետ համաձայնագրի կնքումը, կամ էլ գոնե այդ փաստի հրապարակայնացումը ու եթե այդ ամենը լիներ գոնե ապրիլի 25-ին, երբ Ցեղասպանության հարցը կզիջեր միջազգայյին օրակարգում իր դիիրքերը, ապա Արևմուտքը շատ ավելի քիչ ճնշման լծակներ կունենար թուրքերի վրա, քան հիմա։

Ինչ մնում է մեզ, ապա իհարկե, կարճաժամկետ հեռանկարով սա միևնույն է մեր շահերից է բխում, բայց պետք չէ մորանալ, որ Արևմուտքի իրական մոտիվները ոչ թե մարդասիրությունն ու հայասիրությունն են, այլ ավելի պրագմատիկ ու ցինիկ բաներ, որոնցով կերտվում է աշխարհաքաղաքականությունը։ Ու հենց դա արդեն գրագետ դիվանագիտություն է ու մենք էլ ճիշտ կանենք սովորենք նրանցից։
