Բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր ժխտում են Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, ուրանում են մարդկային արժեքները և բարոյականության սկզբունքները: «Ընդդեմ ցեղասպանության հանցագործության» խորագրով գլոբալ ֆորումի ընթացքում իր ելույթում այս մասին ասաց Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային խորհրդի գլխավոր քարտուղար Օլաֆ Ֆյուկսե Տվեյտը: «Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային խորհրդի անդամ 560 ուղղափառ և բողոքական քրիստոնյաներ ողջունում են ձեզ և հայտնում, որ այսօր կանգնած են հայ ժողովրդի կողքին: Բոլոր նրանք, ովքեր ժխտում են Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, ուրանում են մարդկային արժեքները և բարոյականության սկզբունքները: Մենք գտնում ենք, որ բոլոր այն քայլերը, որ կարող են տանել հաշտեցման, որոնք միավորում են անցյալի և ներկայի հուշերը, պետք է մեկտեղվեն, որովհետև մենք ցանկանում ենք աշխարհում միայն խաղաղություն տեսնել»,-  ասաց նա:

Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային խորհրդի գլխավոր քարտուղարը հիշեցրեց, որ իրենք ՄԱԿ -ին կոչ են արել ճանաչել և դատապարտել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը և վերջ դնել ժխտողականությանը: «Այսօր մենք գիտենք, որ աշխարհի բոլոր եկեղեցիները աղոթում են ձեզ համար, Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի համար, Հայաստանի ապագայի համար: Մենք այս օրերին հիշում ենք Հայոց ցեղասպանության 1.5 միլիոն զոհերին, հիշում ենք հարյուր հազարավոր այլ քրիստոնյաների՝ հույների, ասորիների, ովքեր ևս դարձել են ցեղասպանության զոհ, աղոթում ենք Հոլոքոստի զոհերի համար»,- ասաց Օլաֆ Ֆյուսկե Տվեյտը:

Նա նշեց, որ այօր էլ աշխարհի տարբեր վայրերում շարունակվում են բռնություններն ու դաժանությունները: «Այսօր, ոգեկոչելով Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը, մենք կոչ ենք անում դադարեցնել հարձակումներն ու բռնությունները: Մենք բոլորս պետք է օգտագործենք միջազգայնորեն մեզ տրված իրավունքները՝ նման դեպքերը բացառելու համար»,- ընդգծեց Տվեյտը:

Օլաֆ Ֆյուսկե Տվեյտը ցավով նշեց, որ իր երկիրը՝ Նորվեգիան, ինչպես նաև շատ այլ երկրների կառավարություններ, մինչ օրս շարունակում են խուսափել իր անունով կոչել այն, ինչ տեղի է ունեցել 20-րդ դարի սկզբին Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում: «Սակայն ես հպարտ եմ, որ իմ հայրենակից Ֆրիտյոֆ Նանսենն արձագանքել է այն ամենին, ինչ տեսել և զգացել է: Այսօր ճշմարտության օր է, և մենք բոլորս այս օրը պետք է օգտագործենք աշխարհի համար բարեկեցիկ ապագա կառուցելու համար: Վերջին խոսքը պատկանում է ճշմարտությանը և արդարությանը, այն չի պատկանում անարդարությանը և բռնությանը»,- եզրափակեց Եկեղեցիների համաշխարհային խորհրդի գլխավոր քարտուղարը:
