Եվրախորհրդի նախագահ Դոնալդ Տուսկը վստահ Է, որ ԵՄ-ի անդամ երկրների ղեկավարները ապրիլի 23-ի գագաթնաժողովում կոնկրետ քայլեր կհամաձայնեցնեն անօրինական միգրացիայի դեմ պայքարելու համար: Այդ մասին նա հայտարարել Է լրագրողներին: Տուսկի խոսքով՝ գլխավոր գերակայությունը գաղթականների կյանքը փրկելն Է:

«Դա վերաբերում Է ոչ միայն ծովում մարդկանց փրկելուն, այլեւ գաղթականներին փոխադրողների դեմ պայքարին եւ անօրինական միգրացիոն հոսքերին խոչընդոտելուն»,-ասել Է Եվրախորհրդի նախագահը:

Նրա համոզմամբ՝ ԵՄ-ին «հարկավոր Է պայքարել մարդկանց փոխադրողների դեմ, վերացնել նրանց ցանցերը, ոչնչացնել նրանց բիզնես-մոդելը»: «Կարծում եմ, որ մարդկանց փրկելու լավագույն եղանակն այնպես անելն Է, որ նրանք չհայտնվեն նավում»,-հայտարարել Է Տուսկը:

«Երկրորդ՝ մեզ հարկավոր Է ուժեղացնել Եվրամիության «Տրիտոն» եւ «Պոսեյդոն» սահմանապահ գործողությունները՝ տրամադրելով ավելի շատ ռեսուրսներ: Երրորդ՝ անհրաժեշտ Է համագործակցել երկրների հետ, որպեսզի մարդկանց համոզեն վտանգի չենթարկելու իրենց կյանքը»,-ասել Է Եվրախորհրդի նախագահը:

Ապրիլի 23-ին Բրյուսելում տեղի կունենա ԵՄ-ի արտահերթ գագաթնաժողովը, որի օրակարգը կդառնա այն գաղթականների հետ կապված խնդիրը, որոնք Հյուսիսային Աֆրիկայի երկրներից Միջերկրական ծովով ուղեւորվում են ԵՄ-ի երկրներ:

Ավելի վաղ Եվրամիության արտաքին եւ ներքին գործերի նախարարները Լյուքսեմբուրգում՝ գերագույն ներկայացուցիչ Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինիի նախագահությամբ կայացած համատեղ խորհրդակցությունում հավանություն են տվել միգրանտների հետ կապված ճգնաժամային իրադրության հաղթահարման համար 10 կետից բաղկացած պլանին: Այն ներկայացվել Է ներքին գործերի գծով Եվրահանձնաժողովի անդամ Դիմիտրոս Ավրամոպուլոսի կողմից եւ ստացել Է հավաքվածների լիակատար պաշտպանությունը:

Հավանության արժանացած միջոցառումների ցուցակը ներառում Է անօրինական միգրացիայի դեմ պայքարի ֆինանսավորման ավելացում, մաքսանենգների նավերի բռնագրավում եւ ոչնչացում, միգրանտների մատնադրոշմների գրանցում, պլանավորվում Է Եվրոպայի ապաստանի տրամադրման հարցերի բյուրոյին (EASO) հանձնարարել՝ աշխատանք կազմակերպել Իտալիայում եւ Հունաստանում ապաստանի տրամադրման միջնորդությունների համատեղ մշակման համար:

ԵՄ-ի անդամ պետությունների արտաքին սահմաններին օպերատիվ համագործակցության կառավարման գործակալությունը (FRONTEX) կսահմանի անօրինական միգրանտների արագ վերադարձման նոր համակարգ: Բացի դրանից, պանավորվում Է ստեղծել պաշտպանության կարիք ունեցող մարդկանց վերաբնակեցման ծրագիր, որի շրջանակներում նրանց կառաջարկվեն բնակության համար որոշակի վայրեր, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի գործակալությունը:
