Վրաստանի նախկին նախագահ Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլին պաշտոնական այցով գտնվում է Ադրբեջանում: Նա, որպես Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Պ.Պորոշենկոյի խորհրդական, մասնակցում է Բաքվում ընթացող «Բաց հասարակություններ» երրորդ գլոբալ ֆորումին:

Ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցներից մեկի այն հարցին, թե արդյոք նրա Բաքու գալով կվատթարանան հարաբերություններն Ադրբեջանի և Վրաստանի միջև, Սաակաշվիլին նշել է, որ Վրաստանի իշխանություններն արդեն շատ երկրների հետ են հարաբերություններ փչացրել, իսկ այն հանգամանքը, որ Վրաստանի գլխավոր դատախազությունը դիմել էր Ինտերպոլին՝ նրա անունը կարմիր շրջանակում ընդգրկելու խնդրանքով, Վրաստանի նախկին նախագահը որակել է որպես վրացական իշխանությունների կամայականություն:

Վրաստանի դատախազությունը, սակայն, բոլոր հիմքերն ունի դիմելու Ադրբեջանին՝ Սաակաշվիլիին Թբիլիսիին հանձնելու պահանջով, քանի որ վրացի այդ բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյան մեղադրվում է մի քանի քրեական գործերով: Թեև, կարծում եմ, Բաքուն դա թույլ չի տա. նախ այն պատճառով, որ Ալիևն ու Սաակաշվիլին բավական մտերիմ հարաբերություններ ունեն, և բացի այդ, վերջինիս անունն իրականում ընդգրկված չէ Ինտերպոլի ցանկում:
