Նեյրովիրաբույժ Բեն Քարսոնը հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնում իր թեկնածությունն առաջադրելու մասին: Այդ մասին նա հայտնել է Ֆլորիդայի նահանգում WPEC-TV հեռուստաալիքի եթերում: 2016 թվականի ընտրություններում նա հույս ունի ներկայացնել Հանրապետական կուսակցությունը:

«Ես հայտարարում եմ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնի համար իմ թեկնածությունն առաջադրելու մասին»,- հայտարարել է 65-ամյա բժիշկը, որը թոշակի է անցել: «Շատերն էին ինձ խորհուրդ տալիս առաջադրվել պետության ղեկավարի պաշտոնում, չնայած այն բանին, որ ես քաղաքական գործիչ չեմ»,- հավելել է նա:

Ինչպես սպասվում է, Քարսոնն իր ընտրարշավի սկսվելու մասին պաշտոնապես կհայտարարի մայիսի 4-ին Դեթրոյթում:
