Մայիսի 3-ին տեղի ունեցան ԼՂՀ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունները: ԼՂՀ ԱԺ ընտրություններին դիտորդական առաքելություն են իրականացնել 100-ից ավելի միջազգային և 110 տեղական դիտորդներ: Դիտորդական խմբերը արձանագրել են, որ ընտրություններն անցել են հանգիստ, առանց միջադեպերի` միջազգային չափանիշներին համապատասխան:

ԼՂՀ Աժ ընտրությունների ընթացքում դիտորդական առաքելություն իրականացնող Ֆրանսիայի ԱԺ պատգամավոր Ֆրանսուա Ռոշբլուանը կարևորել է ընտրությունների որակական կողմը և նշել. «Արցախում ԱԺ ընտրությունները անցել են լավագույն պայմաններում, և քանի որ արդեն տարբեր երկրներում՝ Ռուսաստանում, Ուկրաինայում, Ռումինիայում Բուլղարիայում և անգամ Հայաստանում դիտարկել ենք ընտրությունները, ապա կարող ենք ասել որ հիացած ենք ԼՂՀ ընտրություններով»:

Իսկ հույն դիտորդ Էրսի Քոյը նշել է. «Եթե ընտրությունների գործընթացը շատ լավն է, համապատասխանում է ժողովրդավարական ստանդարտներին, ապա դա շատ ուժեղ կողմ է, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը պետք է դա ներկայացնի»:

Նշենք, որ պաշտոնական Բաքուն սպառնացել էր քրեական պատասխանատվություն ենթարկել Արցախի խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների դիտորդներին և այդ առիթով Ադրբեջանի ԱԳՆ մամուլի քարտուղար Հիմքեթ Հաջիևը հայտարարել էր, որ չի բացառվում` դիտորդների նկատմամբ քրեական հետապնդման իրականացվի:

Արցախում տեղի ունեցած ընտրությունները Ադրբեջանը խանդով է մոտենում այն պատճառով, որ դե ֆակտո անկախ ԼՂՀ-ում անհամեմատ ավելի ժողովրդարականան ընտրություններ են անցկացվում, որոնք արձանագրվում են միջազգային դիտորդների կողմից, քան իրեն «ժողովրդավար» հռչակած Ադրբեջանի խանական հանրապետությունում:
