Եվրամիության մի ամբողջ շարք երկրներում մինչեւ 2030 թվականը ճարպակալման համաճարակի բռնկում Է սպառնում: Այդ մասին նախազգուշացրել Է Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպությունը (ԱՀԿ):

«Եվրոպային ընդգրկուն ճգնաժամ Է սպառնում»,- ասված Է ԱՀԿ-ի նյութերում, որոնք տրամադրվել են Ճարպակալման հիմնախնդիրների շուրջ Պրահայում ընթացող եվրոպական կոնգրեսի մասնակիցներին:

Ինչպես հաղորդել Է Բելգիայի Բելգա լրատվական գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով ԱՀԿ-ի փաստաթղթերը, Եվրամիության պետությունների թվում, ճարպակալման վտանգն առավել մեծ Է Իռլանդիայի, Հունաստանի, Իսպանիայի, Շվեդիայի, Չեխիայի եւ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի բնակիչության շրջանում:

Այսպես, կանխատեսումային գնահատումների համաձայն՝ մինչեւ 2030 թվական Իռլանդիայում ավելորդ քաշ կունենա արական սեռի բնակչության 89 տոկոսը, նրանց 48 տոկոսը ենթակա կլինի ճարպակալման վտանգին: Կանանց թվում այս ցուցանիշը համապատասխանաբար կլինի 89 եւ 57 տոկոսի մակարդակում:
