ՌԴ եւ Թուրքիայի ղեկավարներ Վլադիմիր Պուտինն ու Ռեջեփ Թայիբ Էրդողանը պահպանում են լավ հարաբերություններ, սակայն մոտ ժամանակներս նրանց միջեւ շփում պլանավորված չէ: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է  ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը, այդ մասին հայտնել է ՌԴ նախագահի օգնական Յուրի Ուշակովը:

«Առայժմ չի պլանավորվում»,- ասել է նա՝ պատասխանելով երկու երկրների ղեկավարների միջեւ հեռախոսազրույցի հնարավորության վերաբերյալ հարցին: «Թուրքերի կողմից առայժմ հայց չի ներկայացվել»,- նշել է Ուշակովը:

«Սկզբունքորեն՝ նրանց միջեւ լավ անձնական հարաբերություններ են, չի բացառվում, որ հետագայում՝ այս, կամ այն փուլում զրույց տեղի ունենա»,- ասել է պաշտոնյան:

Էրդողանի հետ մայիսի 8-ին կազմակերպված հանդիպման մասնակիցներից մեկը՝ պատմաբան Մուստաֆա Արմաղանը Millet թերթին տված հարցազրույցում հայտարարել էր «Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունների հնարավոր վերանայման մասին, ինչը կարող է բերել դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների իջեցման՝ մինչեւ գլխավոր հյուպատոսի մակարդակի»: Հետագայում պատմաբանն ընդունել էր իր սխալը. «Հավանաբար, ես սխալ եմ հասկացել նախագահի խոսքերը՝ նման ձեով դրանք փոխանցելով մամուլին»,- հայտարարել էր նա: Դա հաստատել էր նաեւ Էրդողանի մամուլի ծ առայությունը:
