Ռիգայում կայանալիք Եվրամիության Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովին Եվրահանձնաժողովը հավանաբար նոր մանդատ կտրամադրի Եվրամիության երկրներին՝ Հայաստանի հետ նոր բանակցություններ սկսելու համար: «Ես ակնկալում եմ, որ Ռիգայում Հայաստանի և Եվրամիության միջև ընդունվելու է հռչակագրային բնույթի մի փաստաթուղթ, որտեղ կողմերը պատրաստակամություն են հայտնելու բանակցել երկկողմ նոր համաձայնագրի վերաբերյալ»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց Արևելյան գործընկերության քաղաքացիական հասարակության ֆորումի ղեկավար մարմնի անդամ, 4-րդ աշխատանքային խմբի համակարգող Հովսեփ Խուրշուդյանը։

Նա նկատեց, որ չնայած Հայաստանը հանդիսանում է ԵԱՏՄ անդամ, Եվրամիությունը պատրաստակամ է Հայաստանի հետ շարունակել համագործակցությունը: «Հայաստանը դեռ չի կողմնորոշվել, թե որ շրջանակներում է պատրաստ շարունակել համագործակցությունը Եվրամիության հետ` արդյոք համաձայնագրից պե՞տք է հանվեն տնտեսական կետերը և թողնվի միայն քաղաքական մասը: Մենք պետք է հասկանանք, որ Հայաստան-ԵՄ համագործակցության նոր շրջանակները որոշելուց հետո միայն Եվրահանձնաժողովը նոր մանդատ կտրամադրի բանակցող կողմերին, ինչը շատ կարևոր է»,-ընդգծեց Խուրշուդյանը:

Այն հարցին, թե արդյոք Հայաստանի և ԵՄ նոր համաձայնագիրը խնդիրներ չի՞ առաջացնի Հայաստանի և ԵԱՏՄ անդամ երկրների հետ փոխհարաբերություններում, Հովսեփ Խուրշուդյանն ասաց հետևյալը. «Մենք դեռ չգիտենք, թե արդյոք երկու-երեք տարի հետ ԵԱՏՄ գոյություն կունենա՞, թե ոչ: Այդ պատճառով ես շատ եմ կարևորում Ռիգայում կայանալիք առաջիկա բանակցությունները, քանի որ Հայաստան-ԵՄ նոր համաձայնագրի կնքման պարագայում մենք կհաղթահարենք բարեփոխումների մի քանի փուլ, ինչը որոշակի հանգամանքների պարագայում ապագայում կարող է ավելի դյուրացնել Հայաստանի ինտեգրումը ե վրոպական ընտանիքին»:

Ռիգայում մայիսի 21-22-ը կկայանա Եվրամիության Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովը: Նախատեսվում է, որ դրա ընթացքում Հայաստանն ու Եվրամիությունը կստորագրեն նոր համաձայնագիր: Մինչ այդ նախորդ տարվա ընթացքում կողմերն անցկացրել են խորհրդատվական հանդիպումներ` քննարկելով համագործակցության ոլորտներն ու ձևաչափերը:
