Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր ընդունել է Նիդերլանդների Թագավորության Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի պատվիրակության ղեկավար Հերի Ֆան Բոմըլին և նրա գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է խորհրդարանականներին և հույս հայտնել, որ ակտիվ փոխայցելությունների միջոցով երկկողմ խորհրդարանական համագործակցությունը որակական նոր մակարդակի կբարձրանա՝ նպաստելով նաև հայ-նիդերլանդական միջպետական հարաբերությունների զարգացմանն ու ամրապնդմանը: Նշելով, որ չնայած երկու երկրների միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները ընդամենը 23 տարվա պատմություն ունեն, Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է, որ հայ և նիդերլանդացի ժողովուրդների բարեկամությունը պատմական խորը արմատներ ունի:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը նշել է, որ Նիդերլանդներն իր զարգացած տնտեսությամբ, տեխնոլոգիական նորարարությունների ոլորտում ունեցած առաջատար դերով, լավ օրինակ է Հայաստանի համար, այդ թվում նաև՝ հիմնարար բարեփոխումների իրականացման տեսանկյունից, ընկալվում է որպես ուսանելի զարգացման մոդել, և Հայաստանը շահագրգռված է Նիդերլանդների հետ բարեկամությունը խորացնել և ամրապնդել:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը մեծապես կարևորել է Հայաստանի և Նիդերլանդների միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատումից ի վեր մեր երկրին Նիդերլանդների ցուցաբերած տեխնիկական և ֆինանսական աջակցությունը:

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի շրջանակներում անցկացվող հիշատակի միջոցառումներին, դրանց խորհրդին ու կարևորությանը: Նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել Նիդերլանդների խորհրդարանի կողմից 2004թ. Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումն ու դատապարտումը, միաժամանակ, մեծապես գնահատելի համարելով ս.թ. ապրիլի 9-ին Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ ընդունած որոշումը, որը, Նախագահի խոսքով, իր տեսակի մեջ բացառիկ է: Այդ կապակցությամբ, Սերժ Սարգսյանը հատուկ շնորհակալություն է հայտնել հանդիպմանը ներկա և այդ որոշման հեղինակ պատգամավորներին, ինչպես նաև բոլոր այն խորհրդարանականներին, ովքեր իրենց աջակցությունն են բերել որոշման ընդունման գործին։

Հանրապետության Նախագահը հանդիպման ժամանակ պատասխանել է Նիդերլանդների խորհրդարանականներին հետաքրքրող հարցերին, որոնք վերաբերել են ՀՀ սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների գործընթացին և այդ փոփոխությունների կարևորությանը, Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության մեջ Հայաստանի զարգացման հնարավորությունների, ինչպես նաև Եվրամիության հետ մեր երկրի փոխգործակցության ամրապնդման հեռանկարի վերաբերյալ Հայաստանի ակնկալիքներին:

Զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են նաև տարածաշրջանային խնդիրներին ու մարտահրավերներին, ԼՂ հիմնահարցի խաղաղ կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացին:
