Լատվիայի մայրաքաղաք Ռիգայում մայիսի 21-ին բացվում է «Արեւելյան գործընկերության» երկօրյա գագաթնաժողովը:

Գագաթնաժողովը կմեկնարկի երեկոյան աշխատանքային ընթրիքով: Հանդիպմանը կնախորդի գործարար համաժողովը: Գագաթնաժողովի կապակցությամբ զգալի սահմանափակումներ են սպասվում քաղաքի միջազգային օդանավակայանի աշխատանքում:

«Արեւելյան գործընկերությունը» հետխորհրդային վեց հանրապետությունների հետ համագործակցության զարգացման Եվրամիության նախագիծն է: Նախագծի մասնակից երկրներից երեքը՝ Ուկրաինան, Մոլդովան եւ Վրաստանը, 2014 թվականին ԵՄ-ի հետ ասոցացման համաձայնագրեր են ստորագրել: «Գործընկերության» առաջին գագաթնաժողովը տեղի է ունեցել 2009 թվականին Պրահայում, Ռիգայի գագաթնաժողովը չորրորդն է:

Եվրախորհրդի մամուլի ծառայության տեղեկատվության համաձայն՝ գագաթնաժողովի աշխատանքին մասնակցում են ԵՄ-ի 28 երկրների ղեկավարները եւ գործընկերության ծրագրի մասնակից վեց պետությունների ներկայացուցիչները: Միջոցառումը նախագահելու է Եվրախորհրդի ղեկավար Դոնալդ Տուսկը, ԵՄ-ի ինստիտուտներից կլինեն նաեւ, մասնավորապես, Եվրահանձնաժողովի ղեկավար Ժան Կլոդ Յունկերը, ԵՄ-ի դիվանագիտության ղեկավար Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին, հարեւանության եւ ընդլայնման քաղաքականության հարցերով եվրահանձնակատար Յոհաննես Հանը եւ առեւտրի հարցերով եվրահանձնակատար Սեսիլիա Մալսթրյոմը:

Գործընկեր վեց երկրների թվում Հայաստանը կներկայացնի նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, Վրաստանը՝ վարչապետ Իրակլի Ղարիբաշվիլին: Ուկրաինան՝ նախագահ Պյոտր Պորոշենկոն, Մոլդովան՝ հանրապետության ղեկավար Նիկոլայ Տիմոֆտին: Բելառուսը կներկայացնի հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Վլադիմիր Մակեյը, Ադրբեջանը՝ նախագահական վարչակազմի ներկայացուցիչ Նովրուզ Մամեդովը եւ ԱԳ նախարար Էլմար Մամեդյարովը:

Ինչպես սպասվում է, Ռիգայում կքննարկվեն Ուկրաինայի ճգնաժամի քաղաքական լուծմանն ուղղված ջանքերը: Ենթադրվում է, որ կողմերը կարծարծեն տարածաշրջանի նաեւ մյուս չկարգավորված հակամարտությունների շուտափույթ խաղաղ լուծման անհրաժեշտությունը:

ԵՄ-ում հայտնել են, որ Եվրամիության համար գագաթնաժողովը նաեւ հնարավորություն կընձեռի խոսելու հարեւանության եվրոպական քաղաքականության նախապատրաստվող բարեփոխման եւ էներգետիկայի մասին, հաղորդել է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
