ՀՀ զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետ, գեներալ-գնդապետ Յուրի Խաչատուրովի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը Բրյուսելում տեղակայված ՆԱՏՕ-ի կենտրոնակայանում մայիսի 20-ին մասնակցել է գործընկեր պետությունների մասնակցությամբ Հյուսիսատլանտյան Դաշինքի ռազմական կոմիտեի նիստերին: Նիստերն անցկացվել են Աֆղանստանում և Կոսովոյում իրականացվող Վճռական աջակցություն և ԿՖՈՌ գործողություններին, ինչպես նաև «Փոխգործունակության հար թակին» ներգրավված պետությունների զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբերի պետերի ձևաչափով:

Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, նիստերի ընթացքում քննարկումներ են ծավալվել Աֆղանստանում և Կոսովոյում անվտանգային իրավիճակի, կոալիցիոն զորքերի գործողությունների ընթացքի և հարատև կայունության հաստատման հեռանկարների վերաբերյալ: Գլխավոր շտաբերի պետերը կարծիքներ են փոխանակել նաև միջազգային խաղաղության և անվտանգության ջանքերում համատեղ ուսումնավարժանքների արդ յունավետության բարձրացմանը միտված՝ ՆԱՏՕ-ի և գործընկեր պետությունների միջև «Փոխգործունակության հարթակ» նախաձեռնության կյանքի կոչման մտահղացման շուրջ:

Նույն օրը Յուրի Խաչատուրովը հանդիպում է ունեցել Եվրոպայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի միացյալ զինված ուժերի գերագույն հրամանատարի տեղակալ, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ցամաքային զորքերի գեներալ Ադրիան Բրադշոուի հետ: Հանդիպման նպատակն էր կարծիքներ փոխանակել տարածաշրջանային անվտանգութան և միջազգային խաղաղապահ առաքելություններին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության մասնակցության հարցերի շուրջ: ՀՀ զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետը ներկայացրել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության շուրջ կատարվող ռազմական զարգացումները, առաջնագծում տեղի ունեցած վերջին միջադեպերը, միջազգային առաքելություններին հայ խաղաղապահների մասնակցության հեռանկարները: Իր հերթին, գեներալ Բրադշոուն երախտիքի խոսքեր է արտահայտել Աֆղանստանում և Կոսովոյում անցկացվող կոալիցիոն առաքելություններին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության զինված ուժերի շարունակական մասնակցության համար:
