Եվրոպայի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիաների միության (ՈՒԵՖԱ) նախագահ Միշել Պլատինիի մեկօրյա այցը Հայաստան ընկերական բնույթ է կրում: Նա Հայաստան է այցելել Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Ռուբեն Հայրապետյանին հանդիպելու համար:

«Եթե չվերընտրվեի, ապա գուցե այստեղ չէի լինի: Շատ ուրախ եմ այսօր այստեղ լինելու համար: Բուլղարիա գնալու ճանապարհին որոշեցի այցելել նաև Հայաստան: Վաղուց չէի տեսել իմ ընկեր Ռուբենին: Որոշեցի գամ և այցելեմ նրան: Մենք որևէ կոնկրետ ծրագիր չունենք, քանի որ շատ հաճախ եմ տեսնում ֆեդերացիայի աշխատակիցներին ՈՒԵՖԱ-ում: Ստացվում է այնպես, որ այստեղ եմ ընկերական այցով»,-  Ավանի ֆուտբոլի ակադեմիայում կայացած բրիֆինգի ժամանակ նշեց Պլատինին:

Խոսելով Հայաստանում ֆուտբոլի զարգացման մասին՝ ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի նախագահը, մասնավորապես փաստեց. «Մենք ՈՒԵՖԱ-ում ունենք աշխատակից, ով հաճախ է գալիս Հայաստան՝ ֆուտբոլը զարգացնելու համար: Եվ մենք հիմա մեծ ներդրումներ ենք կատարում Եվրոպաում՝ մեծ տաղանդի տեր ֆուտբոլիստներին հայտնաբերելու համար: Մասնավորապես, փորձում ենք այնպես անել, որ Արևելյան Եվրոպայում տաղանդավոր ֆուտբոլիստներ կարողանան աճել: Շատ լավ է, որ ՈՒԵՖԱ-ն օգնում է ֆեդերացիաներին՝ ունենալու գեղեցիկ դաշտեր, ինչպիսին այսօր տեսնում ենք Հայաստանում: Ավելի նախընտրելի կլինի, որ լաÕ ¾ ֆուտբոլիստներ ունենանք այս խաղադաշտերում մարզվող: Արդեն երկու տարի է՝ ինտենսիվությամբ փորձում ենք զարգացնել փոքրիկ ֆուտբոլիստների դպրոցը»,- հայտնեց նա:

Պլատինին անդրադարձավ նաև ֆուտբոլում ռասիզմի հետ կապված խնդիրներին: «Ռասիզմի հետ կապված խնդիրներ կան ամբողջ աշխարհում: Իսկ մենք մեր հերթին փորձում ենք լուծումներ տալ դրանց: Որոշ հարցեր կան, որոնք ավելի հեշտ են լուծվում, քան մյուսները: Մեր խնդիրն այն է, որ հանդուրժողակնություն լինի այդ հարցում: Բայց փորձում ենք ամեն բան անել ֆուտբոլի սահմաններում: Ռասիզմի խնդիր չէ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև եղածը. դա քաղաքական հարց է: Եվ այն ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի հետ կապ չունի: սԻկ ցանկությունն է, որ բոլորս ավելի լավ աշխարհում ապրենք»,- հավելեց ՈՒԵՖԱ-ի նախագահը :
