Ռոբերտ Մելքոնյանը ֆեյսնբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Ռիգայում ավարտվեց Արևելյան գործընկերության երկրների գագաթնաժողովը: Այն աննախադեպ էր ղեկավարների մասնակցության ներկայացուցչությամբ և համագործակցելու ցանկության դրսևորման որոշակի ակտիվությամբ: Գագաթնաժողովին մասնակցեցին Անգելինա Մերկելը, Դեվիդ Քեմերոնը, Ֆրանսուա Օլանդը, եվրոպական գրեթե բոլոր հեղինակավոր կառույցների ղեկավարները:

ՀՀ նախագահի ԵՏՄ-ին միանալու մասին հայտարարությունից հետո ես կանխատեսեցի, որ անպայման Արևմուտքը վաղ թե ուշ պետք է զիջի իր կոշտ ու անզիջում քաղաքականությունը, այլապես կվանի մյուս երկրներին, կտապալի ողջ Արևելյան գործընկերության գաղափարն ու զարգացման հեռանկարները:

Իսկ Ռիգան ապացուցեց, որ նախնադարում չենք ապրում և ցանկացած քաղաքական ծրագրի իրականացման համար պետք է ցուցաբերել դիվանագիտական հմտություն և ճկուն քայլեր, կայացնել խելացի, իրատեսական, ստեղծված իրավիճակը հաշվի առնող և գնահատող որոշումներ:

Կարևորը, որ ընդհատված գործընթացը կարծես վերսկսվում է, մնում է Արևմուտքը հաշվի առնի նաև յուրաքանչյուր պետության աշխարհաքաղաքական դիրքը, դերը, պատմականորեն ստեղծված առանձնահատկությունները, տարածաշրջանային կոնֆլիկտները, պաշտպանական խնդիրներն ու նույնիսկ ներքաղաքական զարգացումներն ու իրավիճակը:

Ինչևէ, գործընթացներին նոր ազդակ հաղորդվեց ու կարծես Հայաստանը ստեղծված այս իրավիճակում դառնում է կամուրջ ԵՏՄ-ի և ԵՄ-ի միջև: Ուրախալի է նաև, որ Ռիգայում կարծես նշմարվեց նաև Ռուսաստան-ԵՄ սառցակալած հարաբերությունների <<գարնանային ձնհալի>> նախանշաններ…

Երկու տարի էր պետք, լարված քաղաքական-տնտեսական հարաբերություններ, կորուստներ, զրկանքներ, նույնիսկ բազմահազար զոհեր, որպեսզի եվրոչինովնիկները հասկանային, որ բազմավեկտոր փոխգործողությունները միայն հարստացնում են քաղաքական և հատկապես տնտեսական հարաբերությունները:

Նույնիսկ ընդունվող Հռչակագրի <<Ղրիմի ապօրինի բռնակցում>> եզրույթի հետ կապված անհամաձայնության ընթացքում, հասկացան ու դիվանագիտորեն հարթեցին, և գտան խելացի, իրատեսական, ճկուն փոխզիջման, փոխըմբռնման տարբերակ:

Մասնավորապես համաձայն եմ որոշ լրատվամիջոցների կարծիքի հետ, որ արտաքին քաղաքականության բնագավառը, միջազգային հարաբերությունները շատ բարդ ասպարեզ են, դրանք Հայաստանի ներքաղաքական կյանք չեն, որ ով ուզի, ինչ ուզի ասի, ինչ ուզի գրի: Բայց մարդիկ նաև իրավունք ունեն իրենց կենսափորձով, կարծիքներով, դատողություններով կիսվել և մեկնաբանել:

Ես քաղաքագետ, միջազգայնագետ,արտաքին քաղաքականության մասնագետ չեմ, գլուխ գովան չեմ, ինքնահաստատման խնդիր չունեմ, բայց վերջին մի երկու տարիների իմ գրեթե բոլոր կանխատեսումները և դիտարկումները կարծես իրականացան: Նրանք, որոնք հետևում են իմ գրառումներին և ուշադիր կարդում, հաստատ կհիշեն…Կասկածողներն ու թերահավատները կարող են ԲլոգՆյուզի արխիվում ծանոթանալ և փարատել կասկածները…

Ինչևէ, կարևորը սառույցը կարծես հալչում է…Ռիգայի գործընթացները դրա վառ ապացույցույցն են…
