Մեծ Բրիտանիայի կառավարությունը ձգտելու Է ԵՄ-ի կառուցվածքում հասնել զգալի փոփոխությունների, որոնք կընդլայնեն սեփական խորհրդարանի լիազորությունները: Այս հայտարարությամբ հանդես Է եկել Միացյալ Թագավորության ԱԳ նախարար Ֆիլիպ Համոնդը:

«Մենք ձգտելու ենք ԵՄ-ի վերակազմավորման հասնել բանակցային գործընթացի շրջանակներում (հանրակցության մեջ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դերի փոփոխման առումով)»,-հայտնել Է Համոնդը:

«Եթե չհաջողվի լուրջ արդյունքների հասնել, մենք չենք բացառում իրադարձությունների զարգացման ցանկացած տարբերակ»,-ընդգծել Է նա:

Մինչդեռ Ֆրանսիայի ԱԳ նախարար Լորան Ֆաբիուսը, հանդես գալով France Inter ռադիոկայանի եթերով, հայտարարել Է, որ ԵՄ-ի կազմից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հնարավոր դուրս գալը ցավալի իրադարձություն կդառնա երկու կողմերի համար:

«Անտարակույս, առաջին հերթին տուժելու Է Մեծ Բրիտանիան,-ասել Է ֆրանսիացի նախարարը:-Ես շատ եմ զբաղվում տնտեսության հարցերով եւ երբ ներդրողներին ասում եմ, որ Ֆրանսիան մնում Է ԵՄ-ի կազմում, իսկ ահա Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վերաբերմամբ նման վստահություն չկա, նրանք դա ուշադրության են առնում»:

Դրա հետ մեկտեղ Ֆաբիուսը նշել Է, որ Եվրամիության կազմից բրիտանացիների դուրս գալը «բացասաբար կանդրադառնա նաեւ Եվրոպայի վրա»: «Միացյալ Թագավորությունը մեծ երկիր Է, որը ինքնուրույն քաղաքականություն Է վարում պաշտպանության ոլորտում, արտաքին հարաբերությունների բնագավառում,-ասել Է նա:-Եթե նման խոշոր պետությունը լքի Եվրամիությունը, դա չափազանց բացասական տպավորություն կստեղծի Եվրոպայի վերաբերյալ»:

Ինչպես ընդգծել Է Ֆրանսիայի ԱԳ նախարարը, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հետ կապված իրավիճակում Փարիզը հանդես Է գալիս ԵՄ-ի ամբողջականության պահպանման օգտին: «Հանրաքվեի այդ նախագիծը շատ ռիսկային բան Է,-նշել Է նախարարը:-Մենք կցանկանայինք, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան մնա Եվրամիության կազմում: Մենք համաձայն ենք միության բարելավմանը, եթե դա արվելու Է հանուն առաջընթացի, բայց համաձայն չենք նրա փլուզմանը», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
