 Ոստիկանության քրեական հետախուզության գլխավոր վարչությունում ստացված օպերատիվ տեղեկություններն իրացնելիս՝ հունիսի 6-ին ոստիկանության Անչափահասների իրավունքների պաշտպանության և ընտանեկան բռնության դեմ պայքարի վարչության և Դիլիջանի բաժնի ծառայողների համատեղ միջոցառումների շնորհիվ՝ Դիլիջան քաղաքի Անդրանիկի փողոցի 15 տանը հայտնաբերվել են հետախուզման մեջ գտնվող Արարատ Ասրյանն ու Արթուր Մխիթարյանը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես» տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ոստիկանության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի եւ լրատվության վարչությունից, հիշյալ հասցեից ոստիկանության Դիլիջանի բաժին են ներկայացվել Արարատ Ասրյանի անչափահաս դուստրը՝ Անին, Արթուր Մխիթարյանի ընտանիքի անդամները՝ Անժելա Պետրոսյանը, Յուրի, Ամալյա և Հայկ Մխիթարյանները:

Ոստիկանության ծառայողների տևական աշխատանքն արդյունք է տվել: Անցյալ տարվա դեկտեմբերին քաղաքացի Արփիկ Հարությունյանը ոստիկանության Կոտայքի բաժին դիմում էր ներկայացրել, որ դուստրը՝ անչափահաս Անի Ասրյանը, գտնվում է ամուսնու՝ Արարատ Ասրյանի մոտ, բնակվում է Աբովյանի Սևանի 2/6 շենքի 50 բնակարանում և չի պատասխանում հեռախոսազանգերին: Հաջորդ դիմումով կինը պնդում էր, որ ամուսինը երեխային արգելում է շփվել իր հետ ու հաճախել դպրոց: Ոստիկանության ծառայողներն այցելել էին հիշյալ բնակարան, որը պատկանում էր Ասրյանի ընկերոջը՝ Արթուր Մխիթարյանին, զրուցել Ասրյանի հետ, պարզել իրավիճակը: Վերջին այցելության ժամանակ ոստիկանության ծառայողները բնակարանը դատարկ էին գտել:

Հայր ու դուստր Ասրյանների պատմությունն ու Մխիթարյանների ընտանիքի ճակատագիրը հասարակական հնչեղություն էին ստացել, որոշ հասարակական գործիչներ նույնիսկ անգործության մեղադրանք են ներկայացրել ոստիկանությանը: Սակայն ոստիկանության համապատասխան ստորաբաժանումներն առաջին իսկ օրից ծավալուն աշխատանք էին իրականացնում այս հանգույցը լուծելու ուղղությամբ. քրեական գործ էր հարուցվել, հետախուզում էր հայտարարվել Արարատ Ասրյանի և Արթուր Մխիթարյանի նկատմամբ, կատարվում էին այցելություններ, հարցաքննվել էին բազմաթիվ վկաներ, ընթացքի մեջ էր օպերատի վ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների ողջ համալիրը:
