 G7-ի բոլոր մասնակիցները կնախընտրեին տեսնել Ռուսաստանին «յոթնյակի» խորհրդաժողովի սեղանի շուրջ, սակայն դա տեղի չի ունենա, քանի դեռ ՌԴ-ն շարունակում է «ագրեսիվ գործողություններ իրականացնել Ուկրաինայի եւ այլ երկրների նկատմամբ»: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է  «ՏԱՍՍ» գործակալությունը, այս մասին կիրակի հայտարարել է Եվրոպական խորհրդի ղեկավար Դոնալդ Տուսկը` խորհրդաժողովի բացմանը նախորդած մամուլի ասուլիսում: 

«Մենք բոլորս կնախընտրեինք տեսնել Ռուսաստանին «յոթնյակի» խորհրդաժողովի սեղանի շուրջ, որպեսզի այն վերածվեր «ութնյակի»: Սակայն մեր խումբը արժեքների շուրջ է միավորված, այդ պատճառով Ռուսաստանն այսօր մեզ հետ չէ եւ չի հրավիրվի այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ ագրեսիվ գործողություններ է իրականացնում Ուկրաինայի եւ այլ երկրների նկատմամբ»,- պնդել է նա: 

«Մենք կքննարկենք Ուկրաինայի եւ Ռուսաստանի հետ հարաբերությունների խնդիրը: Վստահ եմ, որ ՌԴ դեմ Եվրամիության պատժամիջոցների մասին ցանկացած քննարկում այսօր կարող է վերաբերել միայն դրանց առավել խստացմանը»,- ասել է Տուսկը: 

«Ռուսաստանի դեմ ԵՄ պատժամիջոցների երկարացման մասին ֆորմալ որոշումը պետք է կայացվի մոտ օրերս, այսինքն` մինչեւ Բրյուսելում ԵԽ խորհրդաժողովը, որը կկայանա հունիսի 25-26-ին: Այսօր իրատեսական է միայն պատժամիջոցների` անփոփոխ տեսքով պահպանումը»,- եզրափակել է պաշտոնյան:
