Մեծ Բրիտանիայի նախարարների կաբինետը բացառել է Եվրամիությանը երկրի անդամակցության շուրջ հանրաքվեն 2016 թվականի մայիսին անցկացնելու հնարավորությունը, տեղեկացնում է BBC-ը:

Կառավարությունում պարզաբանել են, որ այդ որոշումն ընդունել են խորհդարանի խնդրանքով, որն անհանգստացած է հանրաքվեի եւ Լոնդոնի քաղաքագլխի ու Շոտլանդիայի, Ուելսի եւ Հյուսիսային Իռլանդիայի օրենսդրական մարմինների անդամների ընտրությունների հնարավոր համընկնումից:

Ընդսմին ավելի վաղ հայտնի է դարձել, որ հանրաքվեն տեղի կունենա 2016 թվականից ոչ շուտ: Մեծ Բրիտանիայում նման հանրահարցումներն ավանդաբար անցկացվում են մայիսին կամ սեպտեմբերին:
