ՀԱՊԿ գլխավոր քարտուղար Նիկոլայ Բորդյուժայի հայտարարութունը, թե Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում իրավիճակի սրման դեպքում Հայաստանը կարող է լրացուցիչ ուժեր ստանալ Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպությունից, ուղիղ ազդակ էր Ադրբեջանին: ՀՀԿ գործադիր մարմնի նիստից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նման կարծիք հայտնեց ՀՀԿ խոսնակ, ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը: «Մեկ անգամ չէ, որ Ադրբեջանը խոսել է հակամարտության ռազմական ճանապարհով  լուծման մասին, և երբ ՀԱՊԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը հայտարարում է, որ լարվածության դեպքում ՀԱՊԿ-ն հավելյալ օժանդակություն կցուցաբերի Հայաստանին, սա ևս մեկ անգամ ապացուցսւմ է, որ ՀԱՊԿ-ն Հայաստանի դաշնակիցն է, այսինքն՝ Հայաստանը, որպես ՀԱՊԿ անդամ երկիր, կարող է ակնկալել իր դաշնակից երկրների, մասնավորապես, Ռուսաստանի աջակցությունը: Բայց երկրորդը, որը ես շատ կարևորում եմ, դա ուղիղ ազդակն է Ադրբեջանին, որ հակամարտության լարվածություն ընդունելի չէ և դատապարտելի է ՀԱՊԿ-ի կողմից»,- շեշտեց Շարմազանովը:

Հարցին, թե արդյոք ռազմական գործողությունների վերսկսման վտանգ կա, որ Բորդյուժան միայն հիմա հանդես եկավ նման հայտարարությամբ, Շարմազանովն ընդգծեց, որ, տեսականորեն, քանի դեռ Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտությունը վերջնական կարգավորում չի ստացել, միշտ էլ ռազմական գործողությունների վերսկսման վտանգ կլինի, քանի որ ապրում ենք չավարտված պատերազմի ժամանակաշրջանում: «Քանի դեռ մեր երեխաները վիրավորվում են, քանի դեռ ադրբեջանցիները խոսում են ռազմատենչ հռետորաբանությամբ, քանի նրանք իրենց ռազմական բյուջեն ավելացնում են, տեսականորեն մենք միշտ պետք է պատրաստ լինենք պատերազմի: Ասում են, եթե ցանկանում ես խաղաղություն, պատրաստ եղիր պատերազմի: Հին հռոմեացիները հիմար չեն եղել, որ նման բան են ասել»,- ընդգծեց Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

Միևնույն ժամանակ, ԱԺ փոխնախագահը նշեց, որ այս պահին գործնականում բացառում է լայնամասշտաբ ռազմական գործողությունների վերսկսումը, քանի որ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ երկրների ղեկավարները մեկ անգամ չէ, որ հայտարարել են, որ խնդիրը պետք է ունենա բացառապես խաղաղ կարգավորում:
