Բելգիայի խորհրդարանի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող բանաձևի նախագիծը քվերակության կդրվի հուլիսի 7-ին: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում այս մասին հայտնեց Եվրոպայի Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի մամուլի հարցերով պատասխանատու Պետո Դեմիրճյանը:

Նրա խոսքով` խորհրդարանում ներկայացված կուսակցական ուժերը հունիսի 24-ին քննարկել են «Ֆլամանդական նոր դաշինքը» (N-VA) կոալիցիոն կուսակցության Փիթեր դե Ռուվերի ներկայացրած Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման բանաձևի նախագիծը: Փաստաթուղթը բանակցային փուլում է, և  դեռեւս լուրջ մշակման կարիք ունի: «Ընդդիմադիր ուժերը գոհ չեն նախագծից և քննադատում են կառավարությանն Անկարայի հետ համագործակցության մեջ, քանի որ բանաձևն ավելի մեղմ է, քան վարչապետի հայտարարությունը: Կուսակցություններն իրենց առաջարկները կանեն նախագծի վերաբերյալ և արդյունք ում կներկայացվի մեկ նախագիծ»,- պարզաբանեց Դեմիրճյանը:

Պատգամավոր դե Ռուվերի ներկայացրած նախագծում ակնարկ կա 2015 թվականի ապրիլի 22-ին Ֆլամանդիայի խորհրդարանի ընդունած Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող բանաձևին, ՄԱԿ-ի 1948 թվականի խարտիային և Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի` Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ ընդունած բանաձևին:

Ներկայացուցիչների պալատ ներակայացված բանաձևը սոսկ խորհրդանշական բնույթ չի կրում և կոչ է անում Բելգիայի կառավարությանը ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, ինչը  կխթանի Հայաստանի և Թուրքիայի միջև հաշտեցման գործընթացին սկսմանը:

Բելգիայի վարչապետ Չարլզ Միշելը հունիսի 18-ին Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի լիագումար նիստում կառավարության և իր անունից ճանաչեց Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը:

Բելգիայի խորհրդարանն 1998 թվականին Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող բանաձեւ է ընդունել Վերին պալատի (Սենատի) մակարդակով:
