 Թուրքիան երբեք թույլ չի տա, որ իր հարավային սահմաններին՝ Սիրիայի հյուսիսում քրդական պետություն ստեղծվի: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է  «Ինտերֆաքս» գործակալությունը, այս մասին հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիբ Էրդողանը:

«Թուրքիան երբեք թույլ չի տա Սիրիայի հյուսիսում նոր քրդական պետության ստեղծումը, որը հարավից սահմանակից կլինի Թուրքիային: Անկարան կգործադրի բոլոր միջոցները, որպեսզի այդ ծրագիրը երբեք չիրագործվի, որքան էլ բարձր լինի հարցի արժեքը»,- հայտարարել է Էրդողանը:

Թուրքիայի նախագահի հայտարարությունը հնչել է «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ քրդական ռազմականացված միավորումների զգալի հաջողությունների ֆոնին՝ Սիրիայի հյուսիսում: Այսպես, ստացված տեղեկությունների համաձայն շաբաթ օրը քրդական զորամիավորումները դուրս են շպրտել ծայրահեղականներին սիրիական Քոբանի քաղաքից: Ներկայումս քաղաքն ամբողջությամբ քրդերի հսկողության տակ է:

Սիրիայի հյուսիսում գտնվող Հասեքե քաղաքում սիրիական զորքերի եւ քրդական զինված ստորաբաժանումների միջեւ համաձայնություն է ձեռք բերվել ԻՊ-ի դեմ համատեղ դիմադրության կազմակերպման համար՝ «պաշտոնական իշխանությունների կողմից քաղաքում իրենց ազդեցությունը թուլացնելու համաձայնության դիմաց»: Ըստ կողմերի միջեւ ձեռք բերված համաձայնության, քրդական ղեկավարությունը «կկառավարի Հասեքեյի այն տարածքները, որոնք քրդական ինքնապաշտպանական ուժերը կազատագրեն ահաբեկիչներից»: Այս տարածքներում «քրդերը կկարողանան գերատեսչական շենքերի վր ա տեղադրել իրենց դրոշները, պաշտոնական սիրիական դրոշի փոխարեն»:
