 Բաքվում Եվրոպական խաղերի ավարտից հետո հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին եւ ԼՂՀ-ի հետ շփման գծում Ադրբեջանը կարող է իրավիճակը կտրուկ լարել: Պաշտպանության նախարարությունում չեն բացառում դեպքերի նման ընթացքն ու շեշտում, որ հայկական զինված ուժերը ոչ միայն կարող են հակահարված տալ, այլեւ բազմապատիկ ավելի անգամ պատժել: «Այս լարվածության կետը հակառակորդի կողմից չեմ հասկանում, բայց միեւնույն ժամանակ, ինձ թվում է, որ Բաքվում Եվրոպական խաղերի ավարտ ից հետո սահմանին լարվածություն կարող է լինել, որովհետեւ գիտենք, թե ում հետ գործ ունենք եւ նախկինում էլ նրա գործելաոճին ծանոթ ենք»,Եռաբլուրում լրագրողների հետ զրույցի ընթացքում ասաց Սեյրան Օհանյանը:

Խոսելով օրեր առաջ Նախիջեւանում ստեղծված լարվածության մասին, Օհանյանն ասաց, որ իրականում այդ կրակոցներն ու լարվածությունն անհասկանալի էին: «Մենք միշտ ձգտել ենք հրադադարի պայմանագրի շրջանակում ապահովել զինդադար: Բայց վերջին օրերին Նախիջեւանի հատվածում հայկական զինված ուժերի կողմից իրականացվող դիրքերի բարելավման միջոցառումների շրջանակում հակառակորդի կողմից չգիտես ինչու հանկարծակի կրակոցներ եղան, լարվածություն տեղի ունեցավ, չնայած նրան, որ հայկական կողմը գործում էր իր սահմանների շրջանակում, այն սահմանների, որ գոյություն է ունե ցել դեռեւս խորհրդային շրջանի բոլոր քարտեզներում: Նրանց եռանդը, գործունեությունը մարում է, երբ մենք արժանի հակահարված ենք տալիս: Ոչ միայն պատրաստ ենք հակահարված տալ, այլեւ բազմապատիկ անգամ ավելի պատժել: Բայց չենք տեսնում դրա իմաստը: Միշտ էլ փորձում ենք հորդորել մեր հարեւաններին եւ մեր զինծառայողների ծառայությունն այնպես ենք կազմակերպում, որ լարվածություն չլինի»,- ասաց Օհանյանը` հավելելով, որ անհրաժեշտ է զսպվածությունը պահպանել, առաջին գծում վստահության մեխանիզմեր ստեղծել, որ բանակցային գործընթացում հնարավոր լինի հասնել հաջողություն:

Հունիսի 26-ին` ժամը 18:30 սահմաններում հակառակորդը ՀՀ Նախիջեւանյան սահմանի Սյունիքի մարզի Գորհայք բնակավայրի հայկական դիրքերի ուղղությամբ, կիրառելով նաեւ մեծ տրամաչափի զենքեր, ակտիվ կրակ է վարել: Հայկական կողմի պատասխան կրակից հետո հակառակորդը կրել է բազմաթիվ կորուստներ, սակայն մարտի ընթացքում ցավոք զոհվել է նաեւ ՀՀ ԶՈւ զինծառայող, շարքային պայմանագրային Արման Մայիսի Եփրեմյանը, ծնված 1987թ:
