Մինսկը հանդես Է գալիս  «Արեւելյան գործընկերություն» նախաձեռնության անդամ պետությունների նկատմամբ տարբերակված մոտեցման օգտին: Այդ մասին հայտարարել Է Բելառուսի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Վլադիմիր Մակեյը՝ Մինսկում ելույթ ունենալով ԱԳ-ի մասնակից երկրների ոչ պաշտոնական նախարարական հանդիպմանը:

«Տարբերակումը մնում Է մեր հարաբերությունների հանգուցային բաղադրիչներից մեկը»,-ասել Է նա: Նախարարի խոսքով՝ անհրաժեշտ Է ԱԳ-ի մասնակից երկրների ամուր հարաբերություններ հաստատել Եվրոպայի հետ: «Բայց մենք պետք Է հիշենք, որ մեր պետությունները պետք Է մնան ուժեղ ու անկախ, որպեսզի կարողանան դիմագրավել ապագա մարտահրավերները»,-նշել Է Մակեյը:

Նրա կարծիքով՝ հակամարտություններից ու տարաձայնություններից խուսափելու համար անհրաժեշտ Է հաշվի առնել բոլոր երկրների շահերը: Բացի այդ, արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը հույս Է հայտնել, որ այսօրվա հանդիպումը կդառնա կարեւոր որոշումների վկան, այդ թվում՝ ուկրաինական հակամարտության լուծման հարցում: «Սա ազատորեն կարծիքներ փոխանակելու հսկայական հնարավորություն Է»,-հավելել Է նա: Մակեյը նաեւ հիշեցրել Է, որ ԱԳ-ի՝ մայիսին Ռիգայում կայացած գագաթնաժողովում ապացուցվեց, որ ԵՄ-ի երկրները եւ ծրագրի անդամ պետությունները պետք Է լավ հարաբերություններ պահպանեն:

Իր հերթին ԵՄ-ի հարեւանության եվրոպական քաղաքականության եւ ընդլայնման հարցերի շուրջ բանակցությունների գծով եվրահանձնակատար Յոհաննես Հանը հայտարարել Է, որ  Եվրամիությունը հարգում Է «Արեւելյան գործընկերության» մասնակից այն երկրների ընտրությունը, որոնք չեն պլանավորում ասոցացման համաձայնագրեր ստորագրել ԵՄ-ի հետ: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ նա վստահություն Է հայտնել, որ ԵՄ-ի այդ նախաձեռնության բոլոր մասնակիցները շահագրգռված են Եվրամիության հետ հարաբերությունների բարելավմամբ եւ կատարելու են իրենց պարտավորությունները:

«Արեւելյան գործընկերություն» ծրագիրը նախատեսում Է Եվրամիության քաղաքական ասոցացումն ու տնտեսական ինտեգրացումը Հայաստանի, Ադրբեջանի, Բելառուսի, Վրաստանի, Մոլդովայի եւ Ուկրաինայի հետ: Վերջին երեք երկրներն անցյալ տարի համաձայնագրեր են ստորագրել ԵՄ-ի հետ ասոցացված գործընկերության մասին:

«Արեւելյան գործընկերության» հիմնադիր գագաթնաժողովը 2009 թվականի մայիսի 8-ին կայացել Է Պրահայում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը:
