ԱՄՆ-ը Սիրիայում «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ պայքարի համար Թուրքիայից պահանջում է թույլ  տալ իր զինուժին օգտվել Իֆջիրլիքի եւ Դիարբեքիրի ռազմական օդանավակայաններից:

Ինչպես հաղորդում են թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ները, այս մասին հայտարարել է Թուրքիայում ԱՄՆ-իդեսպան Ջոն Բասը` ԻՊ-ի վտանգի դեմ համատեղ գործունեությունը շարունակելու վերաբերյալ թուրք պաշտոնյաների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ:

«Թուրքիայի հետ Սիրիայի սահմանին ԻՊ-ի դեմ համատեղ պայքարում ԱՄՆ-ի եւ Թուրքիայի պահանջները սիրիական քրդական «Դեմոկարատակն միասնության կուսակցության» (PYD) զինյալներին հասցնելու համար անհրաժեշտ է, որ Անկարան ամերիկյան զինուժին թույլ տա օգտվել Ինջիլիքի եւ Դիարբեքիրի ռազմական բազաներից: Սրանով մենք ակտիվ օժանդակություն կցուցաբերենք այդ գործողություններում Թուրքիային աջակցող ուժերին: Թուրքիայի ներխուժումը Ջերաբլուս քաղաքային պատերազմ է նշանակում, ինչը խիստ ռիսկային է: Անհրաժեշտության դեպքում` ԱՄՆ-ի հետ համաձայնության գալու միջոցով Անկարան կարող է օգտվել սահմանից 15 կմ խորությամբ ահաբեկիչներին հետապնդելու իրավունքից», -ասել է ԱՄՆ դեսպանը:
