ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հուլիսի 17-ին ընդունել է Կորեայի Հանրապետության ԱԺ Կորեա-Հայաստան խորհրդարանական բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավար Նոհ Յունգ-մինի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրերին և հույս հայտնել, որ պատվիրակության այցը Հայաստան նոր ազդակ կհաղորդի հայ-կորեական բարեկամական հարաբերություններին՝ նկատի առնելով խորհրդարանական դիվանագիտության դերը միջպետական հարաբերություններում: Սերժ Սարգսյանը պաշտոնական հանդիպումներից բացի, կարևորել է նաև կորեացի խորհրդարանականների այցելությունները Հայաստանի պատմամշակութային օջախներ, որի շնոր հիվ պատգամավորներն ավելի լավ պատկերացում կկազմեն հազարամյակների պատմություն և հոգևոր, մշակութային ժառանգություն ունեցող հայ ժողովրդի մասին:

Նշելով, թե տեղյակ է պարոն Նոհ Յունգ-մինի գլխավորած պատվիրակության այցի մասին Հայոց ցեղասպանության հուշահամալիր, Հանրապետության Նախագահը երախտագիտություն է հայտնել Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցի նկատմամբ Նոհ Յունգ-մինի առանձնակի վերաբերմունքի համար՝ նկատի առնելով նրա հեղինակած «Ժամանակակից ողբերգություն» գիրքը, որի առաջին գլխում ներկայացված է Օսմանյան կայսրությունում իրականացված հայերÕ « ցեղասպանության մասին: «Ձեզ նման մարդկանց ջանքերի շնորհիվ է, որ մարդկության դեմ իրականացված ոճրագործությունները բարձրաձայնվում են ի լուր աշխարհի՝ նպատակ ունենալով ճանաչման ու դատապարտման շնորհիվ կանխել դրանց հետագա կրկնությունը»,-ասել է Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը: Նախագահը բարձր է գնահատել Կորեայի Հանրապետության Ազգային Ժողովում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված լուսանկարների ցուցահանդեսի անցկացումը, որը, ըստ նրա, կրկին վկայում է այս հարցի նկատմամբ Կորեայի և նրա ժողովրդի հատուկ վերաբերմունքի մասին:

Կորեա-Հայաստան խորհրդարանական բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավարը նշել է, թե Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր այցելելով՝ մեծ ցավ են ապրել Հայոց ցեղասպանության թանգարանում իրենց տեսածից ու լսածից և ընդգծել է, որ շատ կարևոր է չմոռանալ տեղի ունեցածը. «Հիշել ցեղասպանությունը՝ առաջին հերթին նշանակում է կանխել ապագա դժբախտությունները»,-ասել է Նոհ Յունգ-մինը:

ՀՀ Նախագահը և ԱԺ Կորեա-Հայաստան բարեկամության խմբի անդամները քննարկել են երկու երկրների միջև տարբեր ոլորտներում համագործակցությունն ավելի ամրապնդելու և խորացնելու հնարավորությունները՝ կարևորելով հաճախակի փոխայցերն ու շփումները, ինչը, նրանց համոզմամբ, նոր որակ կհաղորդի երկկողմ փոխգործակցությանը և կհամալրի հայ-կորեական օրակարգը նոր, փոխշահավետ ու հեռանկարային ծրագրերով:

Հանդիպմանը երկուստեք գոհունակությամբ է ընդգծվել, որ միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը և Կորեայի Հանրապետությունը արդյունավետ համագործակցություն են ծավալում:

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Կորեայի կառավարությանը՝ Հայաստանին տրամադրվող օգնության և տեխնիկական աջակցության համար:

Անդրադարձ է եղել նաև տարածաշրջանի խնդիրներին ու մարտահրավերներին:
