Եվրամիությունը պատրաստակամ է խորացնել հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի հետ, առաջ գնալ, շուկաներ բացել, նպաստել ժողովրդավարության զարգացմանը գործարար ներդրումների բարելավմանը: Այս մասին հայտարարեց Եվրոպական խորհրդի նախագահ Դոնալդ Տուսկը` ՀՀ նախագահական նստավայրում Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հետ համատեղ ասուլիսում: «Մենք բարեհաջող ավարտել ենք երկկողմ հարաբերությունների նոր` համապարփակ համաձայնագրի շուրջ քննարկումների առաջին փուլը եւ նախանշել ապագա համագործակցության ոլորտները: Եվրամիության պետություններն արդեն քննարկում են մանդատի տրամադրման հարցը»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասաց Տուսկը` խիստ կարեւորելով կողմերի միջեւ շարժունակության առնչությամբ ունեցած առաջխաղացումը` հավելելով, որ վերջնական նպատակը ազատ վիզային ռեժիմն է:

«Մեր համագործակցության կարևոր ոլորտ է Հայաստանի եւ Եվրամիության միջև ճանապարհորդության դյուրացումը: Ես ողջունում եմ շարժունակության դյուրացման հարցերում Հայաստանի առաջընթացը: Ռեադմիսիայի եւ վիզայի դյուրացման համաձայնագրի արդյունավետ իրագործումը վճռական պայման է վիզայի ազատականացման երկխոսությունն սկսելու համար: Ազատ վիզային ռեժիմը վերջնական նպատակն է: Հուսով եմ, որ մյուս քայլը կարելի կլինի կատարել հաջորդ ամիսներին»,-ընդգծեց Տուսկը:

Եվրոպական խորհրդի նախագահն ասաց, որ ԵՄ-ն ցանկանում է Հայաստանի հետ ամրապնդել համագործակցությունը փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող բոլոր ոլորտներում: «Կարծում եմ` թե ԵՄ-ն, թե ՀՀ-ն լիովին գոհ կլինեն այս համաձայնագրից: Մեզ անհրաժեշտ են ԱլԳ-ում որոշ փոփոխություններ, քանի որ ԱլԳ-ն եղել եւ պետք է լինի հարմարավետ ձեւաչափ ընդգրկված պետությունների համար:

ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծեց, որ Արեւելյան գործընկերության հենց սկզբից Հայաստանը խոսում էր տարբերակված մոտեցման մասին, քանի որ դժվար է հասկանալ, թե ԱլԳ ընկերները` այդքան տարբեր իրենց բնույթով, նպատակով եւ ակնկալիքով, ինչպես կարող են գործել, բանակցել մի ընդհանրական փաթեթի շրջանակում: «Մենք ցանկանում ենք, որ մեր երկրում բարեփոխումներ լինեն, ամրապնդվեն ժողովրդավարական հաստատությունները, մարդու իրավունքները, օրենքի գերակայությունը, եկեք այս ոլորտում համագործակցենք: Հայաստանի զարգացումն առանց բարեփոխումների չեմ պատկերացնում, չեմ պատկերացնում այդ բարեփոխումներն առանց ԵՄ-ի փորձի, օժանդակության: Ուստի մենք, անդամակցելով ԵԱՏՄ-ին, շարունակելու ենք սերտորեն համագործակցել ԵՄ-ի հետ»,- ասաց Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
