Իրանի և «Վեցնյակի» միջև ձեռք վերված համաձայնությունից հետո լայնորեն քննարկվում է տարածաշրջանում Իրանի դերի բարձրացման և Իրան-Հայաստան համագործակցությունը խորացնելու հետ կապված հարցեր: Պարզից էլ պարզ է, որ Իրանը Հայաստանին դիտարկում է որպես հեռանկարային և վստահելի գործընկերոջ, քանի որ երկու ներկրների հարաբերությունները մշտապես ջերմ բնույթ են կրել:
Իրանական կողմը արդեն իսկ սկսել է ակնարկել, որ Իրանը պատժամնիջոցների վերացումից անմիջապես հետո պատրաստ է կյանքի կոչել հայ-իրանական բազմաթիվ ծրագրեր:

ՀՀ-ում Իրանի դեսպան Մուհամադ Ռաիսին նշել է. «Հայաստանի հետ շատ լավ հարաբերություններ ունենք, պատժամիջոցները չեղարկելով՝ այդ հարաբերություններն էլ ավելի կզարգանան: Հայկական կողմի հետ բազմաթիվ նախագծեր ենք ստորագրել՝ Մեղրի ՀԷԿ-ի, էլեկտրաէներգիայի փոխանակման, Հյուսիս-հարավ միջացքի կառուցման, սակայն կյանքի չեն կոչվել: Այդ նախագծերի իրականացումը դրական ազդեցություն կունենա Հայաստանի տնտեսության վրա»:

Դեսպանը հավելել է նաև, որ Հայաստան-Իրան երկաթգծի կառուցման համար անհրաժեշտ է 3 միլիարդ 200 միլիոն դոլար, և այս պահին դեռ ներդրում չկա ծրագրի իրականացման համար: Երկաթուղու վերաբերյալ այս հայտարարությամբ Իրանի դեսպանը փորձում է հատուկ շեշտել, որ այս պահին ներդրողի բացակայությունը չի նշանակում, որ երկաթուղու կառուցումը երկարաժամկետ հեռանկարում անհնար է և ներդրող չի գտնվի:

Կարող ենք ասել, որ իրանական ղեկավարությունը դեսպանի միջոցով հայկական կողմին է փոխանցում իրենց պատրաստակամությունը երկկողմ ծրագրերը կյանքի կոչելու հարցում:

Փաստորեն, չնայած այն հանգամանքին, որ Իրանի և Արևմուտքի հարաբերությունների նորմալացման և Իրան-Վեցնյակ համաձայնությունը լիարժեք կյանքի կոչելու համար համար դեռևս տևական ժամանակ է հարկավոր, այնուամենայնիվ, իրանական կողմը սկսել է նախապատրաստվել տարածաշրջանում սպասվող առաջիկա վերադասավորումներին, որտեղ Իրանի կողմից Հայաստանին նշանակալից դեր է հատկացվելու:
