Ժամանակակից գրադարանները պետք է լինեն նաև համայնքի կարևորագույն իրադարձությունները լուսաբանող տեղեկատու կենտրոններ: Այս առումով Գավառի քաղաքային գրադարանը կարող է օրինակ ծառայել, թե ինչպես պետք է այսօր կազմակերպել գրադարանային գործը:«Արմենպրես»-ի տեղեկացմամբ` հուլիսի 29-ին Գեղարքունիքի մարզ կատարած աշխատանքային այցի ընթացքում նման տեսակետ հայտեց ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարար Հասմիկ Պողոսյանը:

Գավառի քաղաքային գրադարանն առաջիններից է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում, որն հավատարմագրվել է որպես համայնքային գրադարան, և համապատասխան պետական օժանդակություն ստացել: Ներկայումս գրադարանն ունի 86 հազար կտոր գրականություն և ամեն տարի համալրվում է նոր գրականությամբ: Այն ունի ռուսերեն, մանկական և մասնագիտական գրականության, թերթերի առանձին բաժիններ, ընթերցասրահ: 2015 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակում գրադարանի մանկական բաժինը միայն ունեցել է 649 ընթերող և 1556 հաճախում:

Գրադարանը վերջերս համալրվել է Մշակույթի նախարարության տրամադրած գրականությամբ և գույքով: Գրադարանի հինգ համակագիչներից երկուսը տրամադրել է Մշակույթի նախարարությունը, իսկ մեկական համակարգիչներ էլ նվիրել են Հայաստանի Ամերիկյան Համալսարանը և Գավառաի քաղաքապետարանը: «Աջակցությունը չէր ստացվի առանց համայնքի համապատասխան վերաբերմունքի: Գրադարանը կարողացել է ինքնակազմակերպվել` շատ հստակ հասկանալով արդի խնդիրները: Այսօր գրադարանները չեն կարող լիեն կարծրացած օղակներ, այլ պետք է լինեն նաև համայնքի կարևորագույն իրադարձությունները լուսաբանող տեղեկատու կենտրոններ»,- լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշեց նախարարը:

Գավառի քաղաքային գրադարանի մատենագետ Սաթենիկ Գուրօղլյանը տեղեկացրեց, որ գրադարանն ունի մասնագիտական գրականության հարուստ ֆոնդ և գրեթե չի լինում այնպես, որ ուսանողների պահանջած գիրքն իրենք չունենան: «Երբ չենք ունենում այն գրականությունը, որն ուսանողը պահանջում է, ցուցակ ենք կազմում և քաղաքապետարանի տարեկան հատկացված գումարով ձեռք բերում այն»,- բացատրեց մասնագետը:
