ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանն օգոստոսի 4-ին ընդունել է ՀՀ-ում Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության նորանշանակ դեսպան Բերնհարդ Մաթիաս Քիսլերին: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարարությունից, Արմեն Աշոտյանը շնորհավորել է դեսպանին մեր երկրում դիվանագիտական առաքելության ստանձնման կապակցությամբ` հույս հայտնելով, որ կրթության և գիտության ոլորտում լավագույն ավանդույթների վրա հիմնված հայ-գերմանական հարաբերությունները կնշանավորվեն նոր նախաձեռնություններով:

Արմեն Աշոտյանի նշել է, որ կրթության ոլորտում Գերմանիան հանդիսանում է մեր երկրի կարևոր և խոշոր գործընկերը` ընդգծելով, որ այդ համագործակցությունը բազմաշերտ է: Նախարարը, մասնավորապես,  կարևորել է Հայաստանում գերմաներենի տարածման ծրագիրը, ինչպես նաև Գյոթեի ինստիտուտի լեզվական կենտրոնի բացումը` հույս հայտնելով, որ մեր երկրում կգործի նաև վերոնշյալ բուհի լիարժեք մասնաճյուղը: Արմեն Աշոտյանը նաև ընդգծել է միջդպրոցական կապերի, ինչպես նաև DAAD-ի միջոցով կրթական ծրագրերի ընդլայնումը:

Նախարարն առանձնահատուկ կարևորել է Հալլե Վիտտենբերգի համալսարանում հայագիտության կենտրոնի հետագա կայուն գործունեությունը` ընդգծելով, որ ներկայումս կենտրոնի ֆինանսավորումը ստանձնել են Սաքսոնիա Անհալթ երկրամասի կառավարությունը և վերոնշյալ բուհը, որի համար նա իր շնորհակալությունն է հայտնել վերոնշյալ կառույցներին: Նախարարի խոսքով` հայ-գերմանական կապերի համար նոր հնարավորություն է  եվրոպական ծրագրերի շրջանակում համագործակցությունը, մասնավորապես, Էրազմուս+ և Հորիզոն 20/20 ծրագրերի շրջանակում: 

Դեսպան Բերնհարդ Մաթիաս Քիսլերը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ընդունելության համար` ընդգծելով, որ հայ-գերմանական կապերի մեջ կրթության ոլորտում համագործակցությունը հիրավի հանդիսանում է հիմնասյուներից մեկը: Նա հատուկ ընդգծել է միջբուհական համագործակցության և փոխանակման ծրագրերի ընդլայնման հարցը, ինպես նաև հայագիտական կենտրոնի պահպանման խնդիրը:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել են նաև Սաքսոնիա Անհալթ երկրամասի կրթության նախարարի` Հայաստան նախատեսվող այցի մանրամասները և համապատասխան հուշագրի ստորագրման հնարավորությունը:
