 ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանն օգոստոսի 5-ին ընդունել է ՀՀ-ում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Մոհամմադ Ռեյիսիին: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԿԳ նախարարությունից, ողջունելով հյուրին՝ նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանն  անդրադարձել է կրթության բնագավառում հայ-իրանական առկա համագործակցությանը և զարգացման հեռանկարներին՝ նշելով, որ կրթամշակութային երկխոսությո ւնը միջպետական հարաբերությունների կարևոր հարթականերից մեկն է:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձ է եղել Հայաստանում սովորող իրանցի ուսանողների խնդիրներին, որոնք հիմնականում առնչվել են վերջիններիս կրթության կազմակերպմանը: Արմեն Աշոտյանն ընդգծել է, որ նախարարությունը շահագրգիռ է, որպեսզի ավելի մեծ թվով իրանցի ուսանողներ գան Հայաստանում կրթություն ստանալու` միաժամանակ ընդգծելով, որ վերջին տարիներին խստացվել է կրթության որակի վերահսկողությունը, մանավանդ արտասահմանցի ուսանողների պարագայում` հետագայում այլ երկրներում ՀՀ դիպլոմների ճանաչման խնդրից խուսափելու համար: «Սա նախարարության կողմից իրա կանացվող հետևողական քաղաքականության արդյունք է, որն էլ իր հերթին նպաստելու է ՀՀ-ում որակյալ կրթություն ստանալու ակնկալիք ունեցող արտասահմանցի ուսանողների թվի աճին»,-նշել է նախարարը:

Իրանի դեսպանն իր շնորհակալությունն  է հայտնել նախարարությունը` ընդգծելով, որ գերատեսչությունը միշտ ընդառաջում է իրանցի ուսանողների հետ կապված խնդիրների լուծմանը: Նա նաև պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել աջակցել հայ-իրանական կրթական ծրագրերի հետագա իրականացմանը` ընդգծելով, որ հատկապես գիտահետազոտական ոլորտում առկա է բազմաշերտ համագործակցություն: Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվել է նաև երկու երկրների պատվիրակությունների փոխադարձ այցելության հնարավորությունը, որը, ըստ կողմերի, կնպաստի կրթական նոր նախաձեռնությունների իրականացմանը:
