Քալիֆորնիայում եւ ԱՄՆ-ի ամբողջ հարավ-արեւմտյան շրջանում երաշտի հետեւանքով ուրվական քաղաքը հառնել է ջրի խորքից, հաղորդում է  «Հաֆինգթոն փոստը»։ Սենտ Թոմասը, որը ջրի տակ էր անցել ավելի քանի   70 տարի առաջ, հայտնվել է մարդկանց աչքերի առջեւ Նեւադայի Միդ լճի ցամաքելու հետեւանքով։ ԱՄՆ-ի խոշորագույն ջրային պահեստում ջրի մակարդակը հունիսի վերջին հասել է ռեկորդային ցածր մակարդակի։ Վնասն այնքան նշանակալի էր, որ լճի չորացած հատվածներում հայտնաբերվել են այն քաղաքի ավերակները, որը ջրի տակ էր անցել Հուվերի ամբարտակի կառուցումից անմիջապես հետո, փոխանցոմ է Gismeteo-ն։ 

Ուրվական քաղաքը, որը մի ժամանակ Սենտ Թոմաս անվանումն էր կրում, 1865-ին հիմնադրվել էր որպես մորմոնների բնակավայր այն տեղում, որտեղ Մադդի գետը թափվում էր Կոլորադոյի մեջ։ 1918-ին այնտեղ վեց ծաղկուն ձեռնարկություն կար եւ մոտ  500 մարդ էր ապրում։ Երբ Կոլորադոն ճահճի վերածեցին, Սենտ  Թոմասը ամբողջությամբ ջրի տակ անցավ եւ դարձավ տեղի ստորջրյա տեսարժան վայրը։
