ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին օգոստոսի 17-ին իր հավատարմագրերն է հանձնել Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Պերուի Հանրապետության նորանշանակ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ումբերտո Ումերես Ալվարեսը (նստավայրը` Մոսկվա):

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հանրապետության Նախագահը շնորհավորել է դեսպանին պաշտոնի ստանձնման կապակցությամբ և մաղթել հաջողություններ մեր երկրում դիվանագիտական առաքելության իրականացման գործում: Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանը կարևորում է Հարավային Ամերիկայի տարածաշրջանի երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Պերուի հետ հարաբերությունների խորացումը և հույս հայտնել, որ Հայաստանում Պերուի առաջին դեսպանի պաշտոնավարման ընթացքում երկու երկրների միջպետական կապերը որակապես նոր հարթություն տեղափոխելու ամուր հիմքեր կդրվեն:

Դեսպան Ալվարեսը վստահեցրել է, որ իր պաշտոնավարման ընթացքում կաշխատի մեծ նվիրումով՝ Հայաստանի և Պերուի միջև հարաբերությունների զարգացման, ինչպես նաև տարբեր բնագավառներում փոխգործակցության ներուժի լիարժեք օգտագործման ուղղությամբ:

Զրուցակիցները համակարծիք են եղել, որ իրավապայմանագրային անհրաժեշտ դաշտի ձևավորումը մեծապես կնպաստի հայ-պերուական կապերի խորացմանն ու ընդլայնմանը: Քաղաքական երկխոսության զարգացման համատեքստում երկուստեք կարևորվել է միջխորհրդարանական կապերի կայացմանն ուղղված համապատասխան քայլերի ձեռնարկումը:

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը և դեսպան Ումբերտո Ումերես Ալվարեսը մտքեր են փոխանակել նաև տարբեր ինտեգրացիոն գործընթացների շրջանակներում երկու երկրների փոխգործակցության շուրջ: Զրուցակիցները գոհունակությամբ են խոսել միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում Հայաստանի և Պերուի համագործակցության մասին:

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել նաև ԼՂ հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացին:
