Հայաստանի Հանրապետական կուսակցությունը սեպտեմբերին կներկայացնի սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների սեփական առաջարկությունները` ընտրությունների երկրորդ փուլի, հիմնական օրենքի նկատմամբ միջազգային իրավունքի գերակայության թուլացման և Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցու մի շարք ծիսակարգերի վերաբերյալ: 

Օգոստոսի 17-ին լրագրողների հետ  հանդիպմանը նման հայտարարութ յուն արեց ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Հայկ Բաբուխանյանը:

Բանախոսի գնահատմամբ` տարբեր համակարգերի գործունեությունից դժգոհությունները ցուցում են սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների անհրաժեշտության մասին: «Գործող սահմանադրությունը թույլ է տալիս սահմանադրական ճգնաժամեր: Հետևաբար, սահմանադրական և քաղաքական ճգնաժամերից խուսափելու համար նախօրոք պետք է դիմել քայլերի»,- նկատեց Բաբուխանյանը:

«Սահմանադրական փոփոխությունների նախագծով սահմանված 100 տոկոս համամասնական կարգի ներդրումը կբերի քաղաքական գործընթացների որակի բարելավման: Ընտրական համակարգն իր հերթին կդառնա ավելի արդար և անաչառ: Ինչ վերաբերում է ընդդիմությանը, ապա կատարվելիք փոփոխություններով նրան լրացուցիչ լիազորություններ են տրվում: Դատական համակարգը ևս այս փոփոխություններով ենթարկվում է բավականին լուրջ փոփոխությունների՝ արդարության և արդյունավետության մակարդակի բարձրացման տեսանկյունից»,- հավելեց Հայկ Բաբուխանյանը՝ կարծիք հայտնելով, որ ՀՀ քաղաքացիների զգալի մասը խիստ դրական է տրամադրված սահմանադրական փոփոխություններին:
