Մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում՝ օգոստոսի 8-ից մինչեւ 14-ը, 20,8 հազար անօրինական ներգաղթյալներ են ափ իջել հունական կղզիներում: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտարարել Է ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների հացերով գերագույն կոմիսար Զեյդ Ռաադ ալ Հուսեյնը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով AFP-ին:

Նրա խոսքով՝ բերված թիվն արդեն կազմել Է ամբողջ 2014 թվականի ընթացքում ծովով Հունաստան հասած փախստականների ընդհանուր թվի կեսը, «եւ անշեղորեն շարունակում Է աճել»:

ՄԱԿ-ի՝ փախստականների գործերի գերագույն կոմիսարի վարչության (ՓԳԿՎ) տվյալների համաձայն՝ տարեսկզբից Միջերկրական ծովով Հունաստան են ժամանել շուրջ 124 հազար փախստականներ ու միգրանտներ:

«Անցյալ տարվա համապատասխան ժամանակաշրջանի համեմատությամբ աճը կազմել Է ավելի քան 750 տոկոս»,-ասված Է ՓԳԿՎ-ի հայտարարության մեջ: Միայն հուլիսին երկրում ափ Է իջել 50 հազար մարդ, ինչը 20 հազարով ավելի Է, քան հունիսին: Նրանք հիմնականում Սիրիայի, Աֆղանստանի եւ Իրաքի բնակիչներ են: Ընդ որում՝ նրանց թվում սիրիացիների բաժինը տարեսկզբից կազմել Է 63 տոկոս:

Ավելի վաղ Միգրացիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության (ՄՄԿ) մամուլի քարտուղար Ջոել Միլմանը հայտնել Է, որ 2015 թվականի սկզբից  Եվրոպայում ավելի լավ կյանք գտնելու նպատակով Միջերկրական ծովը հատած անօրինական ներգաղթյալների թվաքանակը կազմել Է  250 հազար: «Միգրանտների եւ ապաստան փնտրողների թվաքանակը, ովքեր Եվրոպա են ժամանել ծովային ճանապարհներով, ՄՄԿ-ի հետազոտությունների համաձայն, ներկայում մոտենում Է քառորդ միլիոնին»,-ասել Է նա:

Միլմանը հավելել Է, որ «անօրինական միգրանտների իրական թիվը կարող Է ավելի մեծ լինել, քանի որ տվյալները շարունակում են ստացվել, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
