Եվրամիության երկրների ղեկավարները պատրաստ են անհրաժեշտության դեպքում գագաթնաժողով անցկացնել փախստականների խնդրրի շուրջ:

Այդ մասին մամուլի ասուլիսում հայտարարել Է ԳՖՀ-ի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը՝ ամփոփելով Դանիայի վարչապետ Լարս Լյոկե Ռասմուսենի հետ կայացած բանակցությունների արդյունքները:

«Մենք խնդրեցինք ներքին գործերի նախարարներին՝ հնարավորինս արագ միջոցներ մշակել փախստականի կարգավիճակի տրամադրման համակարգի հնարավոր փոփոխման համար,-ասել Է նա:-Պետությունների եւ կառավարությունների ղեկավարները պատրաստ են այդ աշխատանքի ավարտից հետո անհրաժեշտության դեպքում արտահերթ գագաթնաժողով անցկացնել»:

Ավելի վաղ Գերմանիայի եւ Ավստրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարները կոչ են արել Եվրամիության երկրներին՝ փախստականների հետ կապված ճգնաժամի ընդհանուր լուծում գտնել: Ինչպես օգոստոսի 27-ին Վիեննայում կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսում հայտարարել Է ԳՖՀ-ի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ֆրանկ Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը, ԵՄ-ն հնարավորինս արագ պետք Է փախստականների տեղաբաշխման արդարացի համակարգ մշակի:

«Այն երկրները, որոնց վրա Է ընկած ծանրության հիմնական մասը, միայնակ գլուխ չեն հանի: Մեզ հարկավոր են ընդհանուր ստանդարտներ եւ ընթացակարգեր»,- ասել Է նա: Շտայնմայերի խոսքով՝ այդ թեմային Է նվիրված լինելու բանավեճերի զգալի մասը Արեւմտյան Բալկանների երկրների՝ Վիեննայում կայանալիք գագաթնաժողովի ընթացքում:

Ավստրիայի ԱԳ նախարար Սեբաստյան Կուրցի կարծիքով՝ անհրաժեշտ Է շտապ կարգով լուծել փախստականների խնդիրը: «Եթե մեզ չհաջողվի արագ պատասխան գտնել, ապա Էլ ավելի շատ երկրներ Դանիայի ու Հունգարիայի օրինակով կփորձեն սեփական ուժերով հաղթահարել ճգնաժամը»,-նախազգուշացնում Է նա: Կուրցի համոզմամբ՝ այդ մոտեցումն «սպառնում Է բաց սահմանների եվրոպական գաղափարին»: «Վստահ եմ, որ այդ խնդիրը կարող Է միայն համաեվրոպական լուծում ունենալ»,-հավելել Է նա:

Իր հերթին հարեւանության եւ ընդլայնման քաղաքականության հարցերի եվրակոմիսար Յոհաննես Հանը հայտարարել Է, որ Եվրահանձնաժողովն առաջիկա շաբաթներին նոր առաջարկություններ կպատրաստի Միության երկրների միջեւ փախստականների բաշխման քվոտաների վերաբերյալ եւ հուսով Է, որ դրանք աջակցություն կստանան ԵՄ-ի բոլոր երկրների կողմից, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
