 ՀՀ արտգործնախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը Մեծ Բրիտանիա կատարծ այցի շրջանակներում Լոնդոնում հանդիպում է ունեցել Մեծ Բրիտանիայի մշակույթի և մեդիայի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Ութինգդեյլի հետ։ Ինչպես Արմենպրեսին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԳՆ մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը բարձր է գնահատել նախորդ գումարման Համայնքների պալատում պետքարտուղար Ութինգդայլի գործունեությունը՝ որպես բիտանա-հայկական բազմակուսակցական խորհրդարանական բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավար՝ ընդգծելով, որ նրա պաշտոնավարման ընթացքում հայ-բրիտանական խորհրդարանական կապերը ակտիվ զարգացում են ապրել։

Նախարար Նալբանդյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Ջոն Ուիթինգդեյլին՝ ապրիլի 24-ին Երևանում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի միջոցառումներին մասնակցելու համար։

Զրույցի ընթացքում անդրադարձ է արվել մշակութային ոլորտում հայ-բրիտանական համագործակցության ընդլայնման հնարավորություններին, երկուստեք շեշտվել է Միացյալ Թագավորությունում հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության ներկայացման կարևորությունը։ Այդ համատեքստում անդրադարձ է արվել համատեղ ծրագրերի իրականացմանը։

Լոնդոնում Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն այցելել է ՄԹ խորհրդարան, ուր հանդիպում ունեցավ Լորդերի պալատի անդամներ Քերոլայն Քոքսի և Հենրի Հարիսոնի հետ։ Հանդիպմանը քննարկվեցին հայ-բրիտանական խորհրդարանական համագործակցությանն առնչվող հարցեր, բրիտանա-հայկական բազմակուսակցական խորհրդարանական բարեկամության նոր խմբի ձևավորման աշխատանքները։

Նույն օրը Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը հանդիպել է Միացյալ Թագավորությունում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի միջոցառումները համակարգող հանձնաժողովի անդամների հետ, ովքեր ներկայացրին իրենց կողմից կատարված աշխատանքները և ծրագրված ձեռնարկները։

Մտքեր են փոխանակվել Հայաստանում և աշխարհում Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի ոգեկոչմանը նվիրված միջոցառումների շուրջ։ Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է կատարվել հոկտեմբերին Լոնդոնի Վեստմինստերյան աբբայությունում կայանալիք` Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված էկումենիկ արարողության նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներին։
