Միացյալ Նահանգները եւ Գերմանիան գտնում են, որ Ուկրաինայի հակամարտությունը պետք է կարգավորվի Մինսկի համաձայնությունների հիման վրա, եւ կոչ են անում դրանց մասնակիցներին՝ կատարելու իրենց պարտավորությունները պայմանավորվածություններին համապատասխան: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում է Արմենպրեսը, հաղորդել է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի ծառայությունը՝ ամփոփելով ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբամայի եւ ԳՖՀ-ի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելի միջեւ կայացած հեռախոսազրույցի արդյունքները:

Զրուցակիցներն ընդգծել են Ուկրաինայի արեւելքում ճգնաժամի կարգավորման կարեւորությունը եւ նշել են այն բանի անհրաժեշտությունը, որ Ռուսաստանը եւ նրա կողմից աջակցվող անջատականները կատարեն իրենց պարտավորությունները՝ Մինսկի համաձայնություններին համապատասխան, ասված է մամուլի ծառայության հայտարարության մեջ:

Դրանում նաեւ նշվում է, որ Օբաման եւ Մերկելը քննարկել են գաղթականների հետ կապված ճգնաժամը Եվրոպայում եւ ԵՄ-ի երկրների գործողությունները՝ օգնելու նրանց, ովքեր հարկադրված են եղել ապաստան փնտրել արտասահմանում: Ընդսմին ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահը եւ Գերմանիայի կանցլերն արծարծել են այն հարցը, թե «ինչպես վերացնել փախստականների հոսքի ծագման նախադրյալները, այդ թվում՝ Սիրիայում իշխանափոխության ճանապարհով, ինչը կարող է միավորել բոլոր սիրիացիներին», հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
