ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը սեպտեմբերի 27-ին Նյու Յորքում հանդիպում է ունեցել ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի տեղակալ Վիկտորիա Նուլանդի հետ։ Ինչպես Արմենպրես-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, հանդիպմանը երկուստեք գոհունակություն է հայտնվել երկկողմ հարաբերությունների բարձր մակարդակի կապակցությամ բ։ Զրուցակիցները կարևորել են 2015թ. հունվարից ուժի մեջ մտած մուտքի արտոնագրային ռեժիմի դյուրացման մասին համաձայնությունը։

Անդրադարձ է կատարվել հայ-ամերիկյան տնտեսական փոխգործակցության զարգացման հեռանկարներին։ Այս առումով կարևորվել է ս.թ. մայիսին ստորագրված Առևտրի և ներդրումների շրջանակային համաձայնագիրը։ Մտքեր են փոխանակվել Առևտրի եւ ներդրումների հայ-ամերիկյան խորհրդի առաջիկայում նախատեսված անդրանիկ հանդիպման վերաբերյալ։

Վիկտորիա Նյուլանդի խնդրանքով Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը ներկայացրել է Հայաստանում սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների գործընթացը։ Բանակցությունների օրակարգում է եղել միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում փոխգործակցությունը։

ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի տեղակալը երախտագիտություն է հայտնել խաղաղապահ գործողություններին Հայաստանի ակտիվ մասնակցության համար։

Հանդիպման ընթացքում ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարարը և ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարի տեղակալը մտքեր են փոխանակել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացի վերաբերյալ։ Նախարար Նալբանդյանը ներկայացրել է վերջին օրերին Ադրբեջանի կողմից հրադադարի ռեժիմի կոպիտ խախտումների հետևանքով ստեղծված իրավիճակը։ Պետքարտուղարի տեղակալը խորը մտահոգություն է հայտնել լարվածության աճի կապակցությամբ և ընդգծել հրադադարի պահպանման անհրաժեշտությունը:

Զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարին, Միջին Արևելքում տեղի ունեցող զարգացումներին, փոքրամասնությունների իրավունքների պաշտպանության խնդիրներին։
