Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի անդամ Խորդի Սեբաստիան վստահ է` Հայաստանի և ԼՂ դեմ Ադրբեջանի իրականացրած վերջին հարձակումները նպատակ ունեին ապակայունացնել իրավիճակը տարածաշրջանում:

Բրյուսելում «Արմենպրես»-ի թղթակցի հետ զրույցում նա խստորեն դատապարտել է միջազգային հանրության անգործությունն ադրբեջանակա ն կառավարության գործողությունները զսպելու հարցում: 

«Ես ամաչում եմ միջազգային հանրության պահվածքից: Այն ուշադրություն չի դարձնում և ուրիշ կողմ է նայում: Ցավալի է, բայց կարծում եմ, որ դա պայմանավորված է տնտեսական շահերով: Ադրբեջանը լուրջ ճնշում է գործում Եվրոպայի նկատմամբ` մասնավորապես կիրառելով իր էներգետիկ ռեսուրսները»,- նշեց ԵԽ պատգամավորը:

Նա համոզմունք հայտնեց, որ Եվրոպան պետք է աջակցի խաղաղության և Կովկասում խաղաղ համակեցության հաստատմանը: «Հարձակումները նպատակ ունեին ապակայունացնել տարածաշրջանը: Ադրբեջանը դեմ է ժողովրդավարական կառավարություններին, քանի որ դրա առկայության պարագայում ավելի ակնհայտ կդառնան երկրի թերությունները: Ներկայում Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունը հոմանիշն է կաշառակերության, մարդու իրավունքների ոտնահարումների»,- եզրափակեց Խորդի Սեբաստիան` հավելելով, որ ադրջանական իշխանությունները փորձում են ամեն կերպ ճնշել ժողովրդավարությունը:
