 ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանը սեպտեմբերի 30-ին ընդունել է DAAD (Գերմանական ակադեմիական փոխանակման ծառայություն) երևանյան տեղեկատվական կետրոնի նորանշանակ տնօրեն Սիլվիա Շմիդին: Ինչպես Արմենպրես-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարարության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի և տեղեկատվության վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրին՝  նախարար Արմեն Աշոտյանն արդյունավ ետ աշխատանք է մաղթել և հույս հայտնել, որ նրա գործունեությունը կնպաստի մեր երկրում DAAD-ի ծրագրերի ընդլայնմանը:

Նախարարն ընդգծել է, որ Գերմանական ակադեմիական փոխանակման ծրագրերի նկատմամբ Հայաստանում աճող հետաքրքրություն կա. «Գերմանիայի բուհերում ուսանելու ցանկությունը հայ ուսանողների մոտ նկատելիորեն մեծացել է, և դա պայմանավորված է նաև համագործակցության արդյունավետությամբ»,- նշել է ԿԳ նախարարը և հավելել, որ Գերմանիան երկրորդ երկիրն է, որտեղ փոխանակման տարբեր ծրագրերով սովորում են առավել մեծ թվով հայ ուսանողներ: Աշոտյանը նշել է նաև, որ ՀՀ ԿԳՆ-ն պատրաստ է  նպաստել, որ ՀՀ դպրոցներում գերմաներենի ուսուցման նկատմամբ հետաք րքրությունը մեծանա: Նախարարը կարևորել է նաև, որ գերմանական կողմի հետ պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել գերմաներենի ուսուցիչների վերապատրաստման ծրագրերն առավել արդյունավետ դարձնելու և ընդլայնելու վերաբերյալ:

 Նշվել է, որ հայկական կողմը պատրաստ է քննարկել նաև Հայաստանում գերմաներենի խորացված ուսուցմամբ ավագ դպրոց հիմնելու ծարգիրը: 

Կարևորելով  Հայաստանի հետ հաջողված կրթական համագործակցության ամրապնդումը` Սիլվիա Շմիդը շեշտել է, որ չնայած բնակչության համեմատաբար նվազ թվաքանակին, Հայաստանի դիմորդներն առանձնանում են իրենց բարձր պատրաստվածությամբ և կարողանում են առավել թվով կրթաթոշակներ ստանալ:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում կողմերը քննարկել են նաև  կրթության և գիտության ոլորտներում  երկկողմ համագործակցությանն առնչվող այլ հարցերի:
