Թուրքիայի վարչապետ Ահմեթ Դավութօղլունհայտարարել է, որ Սիրիայում Ռուսաստանի օդային ռազմական գործողությունները ՌԴ-ի եւ Թուրքիայի միջեւ դիմակայության սպառնալիք չեն կրում;

Ինչպես հաղորդում է թուրքական «Հուրիեթ» թերթը, Նյու Յորքից վերադարձին, որտեղ նա գտնվում էր ՄԱԿ-ի գագաթաժողովին մասնակցելու համար, ինքնաթիռում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Դավութօղլուն ասել է. 

«Ռուսաստանի հետ մերշփման ուղիները բաց են: Չեմ կարծում, որ մեր միջեւ դիմակայություն կստեղծվի, եւ Ռուսաստանը Թուրքիային անհանգստացնող գործողություն կկատարի: Ռուսաստանը տեղեկացրել է մեզ Սիրիայում գործողության մասին, բայց մանրամասները չեն բացահայտվել եւ չի նշվել, թե որոնք են նրանց թիրախները: Ռուսատանի կողմից հարվածների ենթարկված թիրախներն ամբողջությամբ «Իսլամական պետության» օբյեկտներն են եղել»:

Ռուսաստանը չորեքշաբթի օրվանից կետային ավիահարվածներ է սկսել ԻՊ-ի օբյեկտներին Սիրիայում: ՌԴ ՊՆ տվյալներով, երկու օրերի ընթացքում ռուսաստանյան ավիացիան ոչնչացրել է 10 նպատակակետ, այդ թվում` խոցել է պայթուցիկների ԻՊ-ի  գործարանը, ահաբեկիչների հրամանատարական կետը, ռազմամթերքների պահեստը: Նշանակետերն ընտրվում են Ռուսաստանի եւ Սիրիայի հետախուզական, այդ թվում` օդային հետախուզության տվյալների հիման վրա:
