ԿԺԴՀ-ն ի զորու Է միջուկային հարված հասցնել ԱՄՆ-ի տարածքին, բայց երկրի զինվորականներն ի վիճակի են դիմագրավել այն: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է Արմենպրեսը, հայտարարել Է Հյուսիսային Ամերիկայի օդատիեզերական պաշտպանության միացյալ հրամանատարության պետ ծովակալ Ուիլյամ Գորթնին՝ հոկտեմբերի 7-ին ելույթ ունենալով Ատլանտյան խորհրդում:

«Ըստ մեր գնահատումների՝ նրանք հնարավորություն ունեն հրթիռների օգնությամբ միջուկային հարված հասցնել մեր հայրենիքին»,-ասել Է Գորթնին, նշելով, որ դժվար Է կանխագուշակել Հյուսիսային Կորեայի ղեկավարության վարքագիծը: Ընդսմին ծովակալը հավաստիացրել Է, որ ԱՄՆ-ը ի զորու Է դիմագրավել գրոհը:

Այս տարվա փետրվարին ԿԺԴՀ-ի պաշտպանության պետական կոմիտեն հայտարարել Է, որ պատրաստ Է ԱՄՆ-ին դիմակայել ցանկացած պատերազում, ներառյալ միջուկայինը: Ինչպես նշվել Է պետկոմիտեի հայտարարության մեջ, ԿԺԴՀ-ի ժողովուրդն ու բանակն «այլեւս անհրաժեշտություն կամ ցանկություն չունեն բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ նստել ԱՄՆ-ի հետ, որը ձգտում Է ոչնչացնել հանրապետության գաղափարախոսությունը եւ տապալել նրա սոցիալական կարգը», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
