Ֆրանսիան իր բացառիկ ծովային տարածքը մեծացրել է ավելի քան 500 հազար քառակուսի կիլոմետրով

Ֆրանսիայում ուժի մեջ են մտել օրենքներ,  որոնք  նրա բացառիկ ծովային տարածքը մեծացնում են   579 հազար քառակուսի կիլոմետրով։ Այդ մասին հաղորդում է  AFP գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով Journal Officiel պաշտոնական պետական տեղեկատուում չորս դեկրետի հրապարակումը։ 

Այդ փաստաթղթերը տվյալներ են պարունակում Մարտինիկի, Գվադալուպայի, Նոր Կալեդոնիայի, Ֆրանսիական Գվիանայի եւ Կերգելեն կղզիների  շրջաններում Ֆրանսիայի ծովային տարածքների նոր սահմանների մասին։  Բացառիկ տնտեսական տարածքի ընդլայնումը նշանակում է, որ 11 միլիոն կիլոմետրի հասնող իր չափերով Ֆրանսիան այժմ աշխարհում երկրորդ տեղն է զբաղեցնում ԱՄՆ-ից հետո, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։ 

Ֆրանսիայի գործողություններն իրականացվել են մայրցամաքային առափնյա  հատվածի սահմանների վերաբերյալ ՄԱԿ-ի հանձնաժողովի հանձնարարականներին համապատասխան, որը ստեղծվել է ծովային իրավունքի վերաբերյալ 1982 թվականի ՄԱԿ-ի համաձայնագրի շրջանակում   (Մոնտեգո-Բեյի համաձայնագիր)։ Վերոհիշյալ միջազգային պայմանավորվածությունը  դեպի ծովերն ու օվկիանոսները ելք ունեցող երկրներին թույլ է տալիս իրենց պատկանող առափնյա հատվածի տարածքն ընդլայնել առափնյա գծից ավելի քան 200 ծովային մղոն երկարությամբ (մոտ 370 կիլոմետր)։ Նման գործողությունները հնարավոր են միայն այն դեպքում, եթե ապացուցված է, որ տվյալ առափնյա հատվածը տվյալ երկրի տարածքի երկրաբանական շարունակությունն է։ 

Պետության իրավունքներն այդ դեպքում տարածվում են միայն ծովի հատակի եւ ծովի ընդերքի վրա՝ դրանց հնարավոր օգտակար հանածոների շերտերով։   Առափնյա հատվածի տակ գտնվող ջրի շերտը եւ նրա մակերեւույթը մնում են միջազգային գործածության ոլորտում։ 

Ներկայումս մայրցամաքային առափնյա հարցերով ՄԱԿ-ի հանձնաժողովի քննարկմանն է ներկայացվել սահմանների ընդլայնմանը վերաբերող Ֆրանսիայի դիմումը, որը վերաբերում է  Ռեունիոնի, Ուոլիս եւ Ֆուտունա, Սեն-Պյեռ եւ Միքելոն, Կրոզե, Սեն-Պոլ եւ Ամստերդամ կղզիներն ընդգրկող նրա բացառիկ տնտեսական գոտուն ։
