 Շիրակի թեմի առաջնորդը կոչ է անում բարերարներին՝ կառուցել նոր եկեղեցիներ, բայց չմոռանալով վերականգնել հները: Խոնարհված եկեղեցիները վերականգնելու խորհրդով գերաշնորհ հայրը հոկտեմբերի 17-ին դիմեց Գյումրու Սբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ եկեղեցու վարաօծման կարգին մասանկից` հատկապես այն հայորդիներին, ովքեր կարող են աջակցել  ու նպաստ ունենալ հնամենի եկեղեցիների վերականգնման գործում: «Մեր նպատակն ի սկզբանե և ամենուրեÖ „ մեր խոնարհված եկեղեցիների կառուցում է, հետո միայն՝ նոր եկեղեցիների կառուցումը: Նախ պետք է «մորը հանենք ծերանոցից» բուժենք վերքերը, հետո  նոր  մտածենք  «կին» բերելու մասին: Մեր նպատակը Գյումրու պատմությունը նախ վերականգնելն է, հետո՝ նոր թաղամասերում նոր եկեղեցիներ կառուցելը»,-նշեց թեմակալ առաջնորը՝ տեղեկացնելով, որ Գյումրիում այս պահին վերկանգման խնդիր ունի Բուսաբանական այգում գտնվող 7-րդ դար եկեղեցին:

«Այդ եկեղեցին պետք է վերականգնենք, որ ցույց տանք, որ մեր պատմությունը միայն 19-րդ դարով չի սկսվում: Հերթը հիմա այս եկեղեցունն է: Ուրիշ քրիստոնյա ազգեր պետք է երազեն 7-րդ դարի եկեղեցի ունենալու մասին:  Հիմա այս եկեղեցին պետք է բերենք իր փառքի մեջ»,-նշեց սրբազանը՝ հավելելով, որ Գյումրին այսօր ունի նաև նոր թաղամասեր, որոնք եկեղեցիների կարիքն ունեն:

«Բոլոր թաղամասերը եկեղեցիների կարիք ունեն: Ահավասիկ, ժամանակն է հիշատակ թողնելու՝ ոչ թե ռեստորաններ, խանութներ  ու օբյեկտներ կառուցելու, այլ քաղաքի, հայրենիքի համար մնայուն արժեքներ ստեղծելու, որոնք դարերի ընթացքում պահպանվելու են: Միայն եկեղեցին է, որ նույն նպատակին է ծառայում դարերի ընթացքում ՝ 7-րդ դարում էլ, հիմա էլ: Դեռ գործեր կան անելու ոչ միայն Գյումրիում, այլ նաև գյուղերում, որտեղ եկեղեցիները աղաղակում ու օգնություն են աղերսում»,-ավելացրեց Միքայել սրբազանը:
