Կիպրոսի Հանրապետությունը մեկ անգամ եւս հայտարարել է, որ վետո կդնի Թուրքիայի` Եվրամիությանն անդամակցությանը:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է թուրքական «Սոզչու» թերթը, Կիպրոսի Հանրապետության արտգործնախարար Իոանիս Կասոուլիդիսը հայտարարել է, որ թույլ չեն տալու բացել Թուրքիայի Եվրամիությանն անդամակցության գծով սառեցված բանակցային խորագրերը: «Եվրամիության` Թուրքիայի հետ առկախված բանակցային խորագրերը չենք թույլատրի վերաբացել», -ասել է Կասոուլիդիդը:

Թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ներն անցյալ շաբաթ հայտնել էին, որ Գերմանիայի եւ Ֆրանսիայի արտգործնախարարները, Սիրիայից փախստականների հոսքը Եվրոպա կանխելու միջոցառումների շրջանակում իրենց ելույթներում չէին բացառել Թուրքիայի ԵՄ անդամակցության գործընթացն աշխուժացնելու հնարավորությունը:

Բացի այդ, Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը հոկտեմբերի 18-ին Թուրքիա կատարած այցին այդ երկրի նախագահ Թայիփ Էրդողանի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ, ըստ «Նեզավիսիա գազետա»-ի` համաձայնություն է ձեռք բերել Սիրիայից Եվրոպա փախստականների հոսքի ճգնաժամը հաղթահարելու հարցերում:

Ըստ այդ համաձայության` Անկարան խիստ վերահսկողություն է սահմանում իր սահմաններին, պայքար է սկսում մաքսանենգների դեմ, կառուցում է հսկայական փախստականային ճամբար` վերջ դնելով այն անվերջանալի փախստականների հոսքին, որի 90 տոկոսն անցնում է Թուրքիայի վրայով:

Դրա փոխարեն Թուրքիան մի քանի մլրդ եվրո օգնություն է ստանում` փախստականներին ճամբարում պահելու համար, ինչպես նաեւ իր քաղաքացիների համար Շենգենյան գոտի մուտք գործելու դյուրացված պայմաններ ու ԵՄ-ին անդամակցության բանակցությունների վերսկսում:
