Մեր լրահոսում երբեք էլ պատահարների ու մահվան ելքով վթարների պակաս չի եղել, մենք ամեն օր կարդում ենք Հայաստանում և աշխարհի տարբեր հատվածներում տեղի ունեցող վթարների ու մարդկային զոհերի մասին, այն, որ կյանքն անվտանգ չէ, գիտենք բոլորս, բայց գիտենք նաև, որ առանց տրանսպորտային միջոցների այսօրվա կյանքը պատկերացնել հնարավոր չէ: Ներկայացնում եմ աշխարհի ամենաանվտանգ փոխադրամիջոցների թոփ 9 ը, հաշվարկը արվում է հետևյալ սկզբունքով՝ 1.5 մլրդ կմ ի ընթացքում գրանցված աղետների միջին թիվը: 

1. Մոտոցիկլետ. Սա համարվում է ամենավտանգավոր փոխադրամիջոցը՝ 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում 125 պատահար մահացու ելքով

2. Հետիոտն. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 41 պատահար մահվան ելքով

3. Հեծանիվ. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 34 պատահար մահվան ելքով

4. Նավեր. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 20 պատահար մահվան ելքով

5. Տիեզերանավ. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 7 պատահար մահվան ելքով: 1961թ ից տիեզերք են թռել շուրջ 550 մարդ

6. Թեթև մարդատար մեքենա. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 4 պատահար մահվան ելքով

7. Ինքնաթիռ. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 0.5 պատահար մահվան ելքով: Ի դեպ՝ թեթև շարժիչներով օդանավերն ավելի վտանգավոր են, քան՝ խոշոր մարդատար ինքնաթիռները

8. Ավտոբուսներ. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 0.5 պատահար մահվան ելքով

9. Մետրո-գնացք. 1.5մլրդ կմ ճանապարհին բաժին է հասնում շուրջ 0.2 պատահար մահվան ելքով

Հ.Գ Միջին վիճակագրությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ մարդկանց 40% ը վախենում է ինքնաթիռ նստել, բայց նույնիսկ ամեն օր նստելու դեպքում, վթարվելու հավանականությունը մեկ մարդու հաշվարկով կազմում է 123հզ տարին մեկ անգամ: 1945թ ից հետո ամենաանվտանգ տարին օդային փոխադրումների համար եղել է 2012թ ը՝ գրանցվել է 23 ավիաաղետ և զոհվել է 475 մարդ, այն մոտ երկու անգամ պակաս է 2000թ ի տվյալներից:
