ԳՖՀ-ի կանցլեր Անգելա  Մերկելը մերժել Է Գերմանիայի եւ Ավստրիայի միջեւ սահմանի փակման հնարավորությունը, քանի որ այդ քայլը կարող Է ռազմական սցենարի հանգեցնել Եվրոպայում, ինչը աղետի կվրածվի Եվրամիության յուրաքանչյուր երկրի համար: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, գրում Է Deutsche Wirtsc hafts Nachrichten-ը:

Մերկելը նախազգուշացրել Է զինված հակամարտության վտանգի մասին, եթե Գերմանիան փակի Ավստրիայի հետ սահմանը՝ փախստականների հոսքը կանգնեցնելու համար:

Բալկանների արեւմտյան մասում այն աստիճան ուժեղ լարվածություն Է նկատվում, որ հնարավոր Է՝ մոտ ժամանակներս հարկավոր լինի խորհրդաժողով անցկացնել բալկանյան հարցի շուրջ: «Որովհետեւ ես չեմ ցանկանում, որ այնտեղ վերստին պատերազմ սկսվի»,-հայտարարել Է Մերկելը:

Անգելա Մերկելի խոսքով՝ Հունգարիայի սահմանում արգելապատնեշ կանգնեցնելը հանգեցրել Է այն բանին, որ մարդիկ սկսել են Խորվաթիայով, Սլովենիայով եւ Ռումինիայով ձգվող ուղիներ փնտրել: Գերմանա-ավստրիական սահմանում արգելապատնեշների կառուցումից հետո փախստականները կփորձեն Գերմանիա հասնել այլ երկրների տարածքով, ինչը կբերի ճգնաժամի հետագա Էսկալացման, այլ ոչ թե դրա կարգավորման:

Կանցլերն ընդգծել Է, որ Գերմանիան որպես ԵՄ-ի ամենախոշոր պետություն, պետք Է գտնի այլ լուծում, որը կհամապատասխանի եվրոպական համերաշխության սկզբունքներին, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
